Hmm, yeah. I bought two games recently. Pro Evolution Soccer 2008 and Football Manager 2008. They are both pretty damn awesome, but they are for a select market. Me thinks that there aren't too many people here that are in that market...
So, for that purpose, I'll allow you to point me in the direction of a new, great PS2 game.
a) Because I haven't really kept up-to-date with my gaming life and, b) Because I still can't afford a PS3/X-Box 360!

I hear that Fire Pro Wrestling is coming out perhaps next week for the PS2... or you can get with the Guitar Hero kick and get either the 4 games that are out for that... 1, 2, Rocks the '80's or 3.
I would suggest Manhunt 2, but I heard they had to blur it out... and last I heard you folks across the way couldn't get it anyway.. Theres always Need for Speed: Pro Street, The new Raw vs. Smackdown should be out next week as well The Simpsons game seems like a little fun as well. I've also heard the new FIFA isn't as arcade-ish as it used to be and may be worth at least a look.
The next thing I'm going to say is obvious...
GET A NEXT GEN SYSTEM ALREADY YOU CHEAP BITCH!... there, I've said it.

That reminds me, World of Warcraft update. Jorundr, my Blood Elf Paladin, is at 69, inside 100k experience to get to 70. He needs 779700. I'm just basically questing in Netherstorm (this area in northern Outland), specifically Kirin'var Village. It's not getting me any rep with the Scryers (a faction in Shattrah City and the rival group of the Aldor), but it's not all bad. Getting about 12300 Exp and 4 gold per turn-in. At 70, I can buy lessons to use a flying mount. Costs about 300 gold, and epic flying lessons cost 5000 gold. Afterwards, I can get rep with either Netherwing or the Sha'tari Skyguard to get a freebie epic flying mount. Seeing how the Netherwing Drake mounts are both free and more badass looking, I'll probably go with Netherwing. Also, Netherwing mounts are dragons. Truly epic.

Halo 3. Recommended because...it's fuckin' Halo 3. Storyline, I found satisfying. Nobody truly appreciates the grand storyline in Halo. Of course, Multiplayer is still there, and who doesn't love laserbeaming someone in the head?

The Orange Box, for...
Half-Life 2 series: For fans of more traditional FPS games, starring our favorite mute sap, Dr. Gordon Freeman. Team Fortress 2: For multiplayer FPS game fans, kinda like CoD3's multiplayer mode (everyone has a role, sniper's a long-range shooter, spy's a double agent, etc.). Options are kinda limited, as it's limited to CTF or Territories. Portal: AKA The Reason You Get The Orange Box. It's a challenging first-person puzzle game, and it's really been a while since I found a game this fun. I know, it's not fun to "love" a game, but FUCK YOU, I love Portal. They semi-announced a Portal 2, here's hoping it's a stand-alone title and that the ever-cynical, always hateable GLaDOS comes back to do more science and promise us cake.

Guitar Hero 3 because...it has dragonforce in it. ;D God, you couldn't pay me to try that on Expert. You'd practically have to BE the guitarist from Dragonforce to play that song for longer than 5 seconds. No, I don't want to hear how you got 100% on that song, because if you did, you have/are one of the following: A Freak One With No Life The Owner Of A Pet Spider Trained To Use The Fret Buttons

Try Some World Of Warcraft. Wouldn't it be cool to have a mortal combat MMORPG? Flawless Level up!

You're sick man...though that is a good idea. Let's just hope, bearing in mind they do that, the Midway guys just don't bone us and give us a 60% done product...see Mortal Kombat: Armageddon, Mortal Kombat: Deception and Mortal Kombat: Deadly Alliance.

if they did a mortal combat MMO it would have to be done right or chaos and beat downs would ensue.

And of course, every player would try to be Scorpion or Sub-Zero, leaving the people who like to play Kano, Raiden and Hsu Hao (me) to feel like te only people who have brains.
Another reference to this is the number of people who play Trolls in World of Warcraft. Statistics show that the Trolls are the least-played race in the game, compared to, in order, humans, night elves and blood elves, even though there are nearly 300,000 troll characters, including mine.

So... Anybody purchased the new GTA yet? Thoughts? I still, surprisingly, haven't converted to the Next Gen level as yet. Still working on it. I may be tempted to buy a 360 purely for GTA! Don't know if it's worth it for one game a I still can't see passed PlayStation...
