Yeah your right, the Sub Zero in the second was his brother I believe..my mistake
The reptile scene was pretty good, coming out of his his invisibility and the fight in the building..I always liked the Scorpian fight personally. The environment and Scorpians fire breathing skull..

I still say he should've scorched Johnny Cage...
Anyway, who did Sub-Zero fight? I know Cage fought Scorp, Liu Kang fought Reptile and Sonya fought Kano, but who did Subz fight? 'Cause heaven forbid Raiden should fight...

Liu also fough Sub-Zero, it was pretty cool too...he used Kitanna's(yea I know I totally sabatoged that) insight and used water against the Blue dude

Damn that Liu Kang...
Ok, now I remember Goro fought Johnny Cage (and lost), Shang Tsung challenged Cage to Kombat, but Liu kounter-challenged and beat the soul-sucking sorcerer.

The end battle scene was also a good one, revealing all the souls Tsung had captured over the tournaments years...definitley worth at least a rental

What I want to know is, Lui Kang's first fight was against the black dude with dreads... in the sand. What the hell was his character's name.

I loved the first film. Didnt much care for the second. It was rushed and they tried to introduce too many new people too fast. It's fine, and I understand why, but if you're going to do that, make sure the people actually care about them before throwing them in these important storylines and fight scenes.
Either way, Cage dying at the beginning ruined it for me as well. He was my favorite from the first film, and the movie suffered without him.

For all we know, it could've been Jax, Reap.
And yeah, we can kind of see that Cage is your favorite, Stare. Look at your character rep. MK4 Alt/MKDA Alt Johnny Cage.

No it wasn't Jax, Jax was IN the first movie right before Sonya left him after scoping out the ship. She slammed the binoculars into his chest and said something like "There's Kano." and then sprinted off. He yelled for her to wait, but to no avail. Then she tried calling him when they were partially to the island but the radios didn't work.
Besides the guy I'm talkin about had his soul sucked out after he got his chest caved in by Kang's dropkick. That would make him dead which would take him out of being in the sequel.

No, wasn't Jax..Jax was in the second. I think they just put the random guy with dreads in there to signify that it was an actual tournament filled with people than the ones in the boat scene and the very beginning

Keith, thats what I was thinking too, but I haven't seen a picture of that guy YET that looks anything like who I was thinking about. Probably was that fucker though. I know I've seen other shitty martial arts movies with the same black dude... meh whatever. I was more surprised some of the people they didn't credit. Like Goro and Scorpions voices....
And I also found it hilarious that Cameron Diaz was originally gonna be Sonya, but she broke her wrist during martial arts training. So to that I say HAHAHAHAHAHA and thank god it wasn't her.

Well, Cameron Diaz IS pretty tough...

To even suggest that she could have been a good Sonya is laughable and you know it.

Yeah, I'm just saying that because Diaz is hot.
If they REALLY wanted to nail Sonya, they should've used Kerri Hoskins. She was the human render for Sonya. And according to her, Kerri still has the Sonya costumes and occasionally breaks it out. And believe me, Kerri Hoskins is beautiful.

The Sonya in the movie did a good job, at least she had the looks and voice in my opinion ...Cameron Diaz wouldn't cut it, maybe if Sonya had a barbie clone then maybe they could let her in

Bridgette Wilson was Sonya, and she's hot. Ms. Vaughn from Billy Madison anyone? Yeah, that chick is 8 kinds of hot.

The teacher from Billy Madison? Yeah, she's hot. Still, Kerri Hoskins is Sonya, period, end of discussion.

"I'm in a hostile environment, ruled by a maniac, surrounded by hideous, ugly monsters...I'm telling you, Liu, it's like being back in high school!"
The most memorable line from the first MK movie, courtesey of Johnny Cage.
