Perhaps, but the build up to the feud is already there. Granted Edge is only 5-0 in wrestlemania's compared to Undertakers 14-0, but still there can be a storyline. Both men since they first stepped foot into a wwe ring, have never tasted defeat on the grandest stage of them all, Wrestlemania. Which one will be the first to taste defeat? Can Edge makes Takers record 14-1? or can Taker finally peg a lost on the Rated R Superstar? You should seriously consider a career in writing wrestling poster promos for the WWE or another organization because that reads pretty good.

I've decided that there is a way that Orton could win, and it be understandable. I could see it coming down to Edge, Michaels, and Orton with Orton eliminating Michaels and Edge while they're fighting.
That is the only way where it would come off as credible. I love teh fact that this rumble is a toss up

OR...the Undertaker could actually take it. I just watched last year's Rumble and noticed how the rumble match itself was in the middle, with the World Title match last. The big Undertaker/lights-out spectacle is what closed the show and the fans were going crazy. Since Batista v. Taker at Mania 23 is all but confirmed, since SD! seems to be foreshadowing that match, I wouldn't be the least suprised to see the Dead Man take it and end the show on a happy/high note.
EDIT: Nothing personal, but the Rumble generally sets up Mania. If the Rumble stinks, the following Wrestlemania usually does too. Like in 1999 when McMahon won the event, we got a shitty Mania to follow. The only highlight on that card was Rock v. Austin, and given their later meetings, it wasn't that good of a match.
Triple H predictably winning the event in 2002 was a snore. Everyone knew what would happen and that year's Mania main event (Hunter v. Jericho) was pathetic. The show was saved by Hogan v. Rock, which was no technically inclined match, but the draw was insane.
Last year's Rumble was rather meh. The Rumble match in the middle? I would have preferred Orton take the match last year and then lose to Rey at No Way Out setting up the triple threat.

Based on some valuable information I just obtained, I'm picking Randy Orton AND Edge to win the Rumble.

The faces took all the matches; no villians prevailed. Meh.

If they put him against Cena, then yes. If he faces Big Dave, je ne sais pas.
