You are most kind to say so, sir.

Just thought I'd try this new background I made.
Thoughts?
If you don't like it, I'll take it off tomorrow or something. I'll make the file size smaller later too, so it loads the page quicker.

This one is off-center if you use a higher screen resolution (mine is 1280x800). Here's a screenshot of it:

Ah. That's not good. Any help on how to fix that?

i can tell you how to fix it in CSS, but i don't know how you'd go about it in this board...
<style type="text/css"> body { background-image: url("images/background.jpg"); background-repeat: repeat-y; background-position: center center } </style>
hope that helps...

Actually, it is repeating. If you used a smaller image that didn't have a frame, per se, it'll repeat to no matter what width you have.
Or, you can limit the overall board width to match the width of that graphic (1022 pix).

that code i gave him centers the background image and sets the repeat to vertical only, so all screen resolutions will show it the same.
making the grey dot bit just a plain grey will work better though, as you can't set two background images on top of each other, but you can put the image on top of a plain colour.... does that make sense?

I managed to nab 1 screenshot before you removed it, Rocky. I don't know what it looks like when the window's below 1022 pix, but this is how it looks at 1280: EDIT: On a side note, the right side is wider than the left side (the pixelated grey area). Not by much, but enough that when you centered it, it looked "off".

Hmm. I'm kind of a little stuck just now, so I'll look around, see if I can't figure out how to make it look the same on all sizes.
Thanks Warlock.

Glad to do my part in bringing peace to the world.
It'll be easier for Pinky and I to conquer then.

the easierst way is to limit the width of the board to a set amount of pixels rather then a % of screen size.
.... or put an outer table around the board with a border down the left and right sides, but not top and bottom. fill it with black.
make the grey pixely image the background for the site.
that way, you'll get the grey pixelly background down the sides of the screen, and the actual board will oook like a long tall black column... which i guess is what you're after.

*bump*
i just noticed that the background has reapppeared. i'm guessing you have made it for use on your own pc with a resolution of 1024px, as it looks more than a little off on my screen.
you need to change the board width to a set amount of pixels wide, as it appears to be using a % of the overall width.

I didn't ignore this, I'm still working on it. For some reason, everything I'm supposed to do isn't working properly.

you should speak to warlock - he got it working perfectly over at CFoT.
this board looks perfect at 1024x768, but if you use a higher resolution, it goes all wierd.

Look thru your codes until you find the follow two codes:
Affiliate Table v3~ish - by Nadim Modified for mehicd2 This code must not be posted by anyone but its creator. http://zdesign.proboards3.com*/
var AffiliateTableWidth="70%" //Width of the Affiliate Table and
<SCRIPT LANGUAGE="JavaScript"> <!-- tablew = document.getElementsByTagName('TABLE'); for(t=0;t<tablew.length;t++) { if(tablew[t].width=="92%"){ tablew[t].width='70%'; } } // --> </script> In both, change the 70%'s to 750 or less...700, if you want to match the bottom menu bar on the Main Page.
Also, add this to all of your headers (including the Main Header):
<script type="text/javascript"> <!--
var c = document.getElementsByTagName("td"); c[2].align = "center"; c[2].bgColor = c[1].bgColor; var nc = document.getElementsByTagName('table')[1].insertRow(1).insertCell(0) nc.appendChild(c[2]); nc.align = "center";
//--> </script> Trust me on this one.

Sorry, there were 3 codes...I got distracted at work and forgot about one:
<table align="center" border="0" width="70%" cellspacing="0" cellpadding="0" class="bordercolor"> <tr> <td> <table cellpadding="4" cellspacing="1" border="0" width="100%"> <tr> <td class="titlebg" align="center" colspan="3">
<font color="000000" size="2"> <b>p2p Wrestling Forums</b> Change that 70% to match your defined width.
Also, don't forget to make the changes in your normal boards, not just the Main ones.
