Shinn’s Theory - Promo for Winter Frenzy[/color][/b][/u]
Shinn’s Theory is shown entering the arena. His eyes are set on the floor but his walk is one of determination. Shinn’s heads towards the staging area as some of the P2PW superstars are gathered in the large room, that is located just before it. As he walks through the crowd, he is approached by the entire Blood Pack.
SIMZ:[/b] We’re lumberjacks Shinn’s? Freakin’ lumberjacks? We should have a match tonight! We should be in contention for the World Tag Titles.
Shinn’s, focused on his destiny responds:
Shinn’s Theory:[/b] You have to pay your dues, which you will.
Shinn’s remains walking. The Blood Pack remains focused on Theory as he blows them off. Shinn’s is then approached by Chilly Willy.
Chilly Willy:[/b] Since I am a lumberjack in tonight’s main event, I will make an impact you could only read about.
Shinn’s slows his pace down as he passes by Chilly Willy.
Shinn’s Theory:[/b] You’ll do your job, and that’s it....
Shinn’s enters the staging area. Starcrunch is seen exiting at the same time. Starcrunch stops the Co-Owner of the P2PW.
Starcrunch:[/b] SHE get’s a huge reception and I don’t even get on the card Shinn’s? I thought we were close?
Shinn’s Theory finally stops and looks down at Starcrunch.
Shinn’s Theory:[/b] We are. And, I hope you keep that in mind while Gormy accepts the new P2PW Title.
Theory then continues to walk. He ascends a set of stairs. He motions to a staff member and “P.C.” hits. The crowd jumps to their feet as Shinn’s slides out from behind the curtain. He stands at the top of the ramp and looks over the sold out arena. He then strides to the ring and climbs the ring steps. He enters and is immediately handed a microphone. He waits for the cheers to subside and then addresses the audience.
Shinn’s Theory:[/b] Before I comment on my match with Tyler “The Broken Record” Stone, I have a message for each and every one of the superstars in the back.
Shinn’s peers up the ramp.
Shinn’s Theory:[/b] I am a “Co-Owner” of this company. That means, I am not the only one who has the ability to book a match. And, I am not the only individual who has the right to leave you OFF of a card. Try not to forget, Rocky is still a Co-Owner. If you have an grievances about your status, here in the P2PW, feel free to knock on his door, as well as mine. With that out of the way, I have a few things to say about my match tonight.
The crowd cheers as Shinn’s Theory begins to smile.
Shinn’s Theory:[/b] Week after week we have been hearing the same thing from Tyler Stone. All the fingers and toes in this arena couldn’t count the amount of times that we have ALL heard Tyler Stone say that I have been dodging him and that I have been sending people out to try to shorten his career.
The crowd boos as Shinn’s nods along.
Shinn’s Theory:[/b] I don’t understand what this kid is thinking. From day one, he’s had it in for me. He thinks he can walk into my company and demand a match against me without proving he is worthy enough. That’s not the way things work around here. Hell, that isn’t the way things work anyway. You need to start from the bottom and work your way up. Tyler, I’ve given you several opponents just to see how you handle things here in the P2PW. And, like I have said before, you’ve finally impressed me. You have impressed me to the point where, not only am I giving you the match you want, I’m giving it to you in your own genre: A Submission Match.
Shinn’s pauses as the crowd cheers in anticipation of the match.
Shinn’s Theory:[/b] No pinfalls. No count-outs. No disqualifications. This is your bread and butter, Stone. And, why have I done this? The answer is simple...
The crowd silences as Shinn’s peers into the camera.
Shinn’s Theory:[/b] ...To prove to you that I am in no fear of facing the self proclaimed “best there is - best there was - best there ever will be” technical master of wrestling. Speaking of that, let’s think back a bit, shall we? First of all, you are billing yourself after a man who is no longer the best, arguably was never the best, and defiantly won’t be the best there ever will be. Here’s my niche. Here’s where I, too, take you down memory lane.
Shinn’s points towards Zeroin. A picture of The Molson Center, located in Montreal. The event: WWF’s Survivor Series 1997. The crowd shows a mixed reaction at the site.
Shinn’s Theory:[/b] I believe that’s the place your boyhood idol showed his true colors. That is the venue where he lost respect from many, many fans. But that isn’t all. Let’s take a look at a bit of footage I was able to gather, and will probably be sued for showing.
Shinn’s looks towards Zeroin as the footage is shown. Bill Goldberg delivers a severe mule kick to Bret Hart, which essentially ended Bret’s career. The crowd boos as the footage is shown. Shinn’s nods along with the crowd.
Shinn’s Theory:[/b] Exactly! Being the egotistical man he was, Bret left the company that made him. He then entered another franchise because he thought the competition would more exciting. Look where it got him? He’s writing for a freakin’ newspaper now.
The crowd boos as Shinn’s continues.
Shinn’s Theory:[/b] I watched what you had to say last night, Tyler. In fact, you were standing in this very ring at the time. I listened as you rambled on like a broken record. You came into this company with huge hopes and dreams. You came into this company and aimed directly for the top. And like your boyhood idol, for that, you may leave this company before your prime.
Remember Rage Rules, Tyler? Remember what I said before our match? Remember how I told you that you took the wrong damn exit off the interstate, and was headed towards a dead end? You hit the dead end that night Tyler. The only thing you didn’t hit, was rock bottom. Look at it this way. You are taking another wrong turn. It’s defiantly not the highroad. But, out of something bad, out of this wrong turn, maybe something good will come out of it. Maybe this is something you need to realize for yourself. Maybe you’ll set your sights on building your career instead of trying to end it so quickly. Perhaps you can teach others what you will learn tonight. Maybe your fans: the ones training to become wrestlers today, will learn from this mistake you have made.
Tyler, you are already part of a self-destructing faction. Tonight, you will have to put all of your thoughts about that aside. You will need to focus on what’s important. Winning isn’t important for you tonight, Tyler. Making sure you walk out of this arena with the knowledge of “think before you speak” is most important. You barked, and I bit. Now, you have to suffer the masses. You may be a great technical wrestler, and I may be just a brawler, but the fact remains: It doesn’t take a rocket scientist to figure out how to make your opponent submit.
Shinn’s Theory drops the microphone as “P.C.” hits. The crowd erupts as Theory exits the ring and heads up the ramp. He disappears behind the curtain. The camera follows Shinn’s as he approaches Dickie Cha’Mone.
Shinn’s Theory:[/b] You ready?
Dickie Cha’Mone:[/b] Yea, but I’m still not sure why you picked me.
Shinn’s wraps his arm around Dickie’s shoulder and pulls tight.
Shinn’s Theory:[/b] Well, I read over a few of the roster’s stats and found that the “You Know That’s Right” was the best. Is it starting to sink in yet?
A smile overtakes Dickie’s face. He looks towards Shinn’s and nods.
Shinn’s Theory:[/b] Now, did you set the room up?
Dickie Cha’Mone:[/b] Sure did. Follow me.
The camera follows the two as they approach a door. Dickie opens the door and Shinn’s enters first. The room is layered in thin blue mats.
Shinn’s Theory:[/b] Ok, let’s get started.
The two men lock up. The camera can barely pick up the conversation the two are having. The “match” is very slow paced, as Dickie appears to be stepping the former World Champion through various submission maneuvers. The camera remains on the two for several moments. Within these moments, Dickie is shown taking the Co-Owner to the mat, and slowly placing him in different holds. The two men stand, and Dickie nods towards Theory. Theory nods back. The camera begins to fade to black just as Shinn’s Theory and Dickie lock up. This time, Shinn's takes Dickie down to the mat and applies a light version of “You Know That’s Right”.
