^I agree.
And Orton vs. Rey Vs. Angle had better be the main event and not Cena vs. HHH. On the WM22 site it has the Raw main event listed above SD!'s.

I'm surprised the TAG TEAM TITLES are on the line, the Raw belts let alone. If Carlito and Masters don't win, it'll be a fuckin shame and those belts might as well retire.

An interbrand HBK/Undertaker match would have made up for the two shit matches that are on the card.

Henry/Taker is going to be Casket. Could make the match more acceptable!

What is below is considered a Stare exclusive spoiler for right now. I live a town over from Rupp Arena, which is where Backlash will be held, and the ad said something that could be called a spoiler, eventhough these things aren't always accurate. Highlight below to read it[/color]
I just saw an ad for Backlash, and it was various superstards saying "At Backlash . . . ". Well, it began with HHH saying "At Backlash, The Game Begins". Well, it ended with John Cena saying "At Backlash, I take back what's mine". Take that for what it's worth, but I know no other way to interpret what that means.

You think John Cena loses his virginity to a rough but loving Big Show, and tries to win it back in a Rey Mysterio on a pole match?
Silly Cena, midget virginity is only worth, like, a third as much!
What a retard.
^Another spoiler, highlight at you own risk.

lol, try to stay on topic Spackle.
I think Bret will take out Vince & Shawn. I can't see Bret helping Shawn Michaels win, ya know? I think this whole act that Bret's putting on about not being involved in anything else is simply what he's been told to say for storyline's sake.

Why is Bret even in WWE?

For a paycheck.
Does anyone else out there in Internet land think Randy Orton may actually walk out of Mania with the belt?

Yeah, I thought about it, and I defnetly do. With Batista coming back, it's the rivalry they were wanting to do a while back. Also, how do you redeem a superstar's crediblity who won the title at Summerslam 2004, and lost it a month later? By having him headline Wrestlemania, and winning.
Everything just makes sense, and the WWE always plans around their future storylines.

I was simply thinking about how all the marks thought Randy Orton was absolutely going to win the Royal Rumble and then the Rey Mysterio swerve was thrown at us. Now the E has got most people thinking Mysterio will walk with the title, in memory of Eddie. And well.....

I wouldnt be surprised if him saying that was part of the storyline as well.
I mean, yeah, I might be wrong, but do you really think Vince & Shawn would've centered their whole feud around the Bret Hart Screwjob and what occured there if there wasnt something planned. Bret Hart agrees to be inducted after he said he had no interest, probably so the WWE could promote it, but still . . . Bret Hart hasn't been known to do a 180 in recent years.
I think it is all part of the storyline, in all honest. Bret will get involved, and he is definetly getting paid for it, I dont care what he says.

Yes. Easily. That may not be the case, but it wouldn't be surprising at all if they never even intended to get Hart involved; they just used his name and the possibility that he MIGHT show up to get some smarks and old viewers interested.

I haven't watch a show in a while so could anybodt tell me if WM is going to be 5 hours. Because it will need to be! 11 matches! and so many are utter garbage. What is up with the card?
|
|
|
Post by brockandsable on Mar 24, 2006 21:25:24 GMT 1
My guess is that once the card got four or five matches in, WWE management sobered up and realized that the card was shit. So in order to make up for a shit card, they figure to add as many names as possible.
Seriously, Boogeyman v. Booker T is not Wrestlemania material, but meh. And any writer in the right mind knows that Edge should be walking into Mania with the WWE Title, not Cena. With Edge as champ, there were a number of possibliites including RVD, Matt Hardy, and even a match with Cena given that Cena was "chasing" him for the belt.
Money in the Bank and the Smackdown! main event are the only matches that are even remotely holding my interest. But those are not worth throwing out fifty bucks for.

So, what match do you think will steal the show this year?
I'm thinking Edge vs. Foley, in all honesty. If they are given enough time, it could be really great. You've got a guy who will do anything to get a pop on one side (Foley), and a guy who can put on great match after match as long as he has props to work off of (Edge). Edge has done some incredible stuff in ladder matches and hardcore matches past, and I think him and Foley will blend very well in this environment.
I think the MITB match will be very good too, and I'm anxious to see if Shelton Benjamin pulls out all the stops again this year.
I think the Triple Threat will also be very good. You've got a good blend of differnet types of talent in that ring.
