I take it someone is pissed about Joe getting screwed out of the Iron Man match last night. While I don't hate on Angle, I think Joe was overdue for the belt. Joe v. Cage would have owned. Big time. Cage can bump and sell moves just as good as Angle. Wouldn't be suprised if we see a disappointed Joe show up on RAW this year.

Hell yeah I'm pissed. Joe at the moment is miles ahead of Kurt Angle. And I do blame Kurt Angle too. The guy has enough pull in the company to change the result of the match.
Oh, and trust me, Angle is one hell of an ego maniac. After he left, all he did was bash the WWE. He claimed that HHH was scared of him. He stated that all the top ten matches in WWE had him in it. And much more.
What I hate the most is that this guy is coming in and stealing Joe's push. Joe is fading into the background and is going to be seen as secondary to Angle from now on, when Joe is going to be the person who carries the company on his shoulders for the future. Angle should be putting over Joe. Angle will ALWAYS be over, Joe needs to be pushed up to the next level and winning his feud with Angle would have done just that.
There really isn't much else for Joe to do now other than challenge for the NWA Title, but now of course Angle gets to do that. Joe's momentum has been killed. He's probably going to end up back in the X-Division.
I love that Cage is the champ again. He's awesome. But i can't help to think that he's a transitional champion for Angle. That would also mean that Christian's "undefeated" streak would be broken by Angle, which just proves that the fucker is coming in and ruining months and months of work for people already on the roster. It's stupid.

Aladdin, I whole-heartedly agree with you, but should they have done the alternative and take the BIGGEST STAR their company has and bury him? Angle can't come in and lose every match, he won't have any credibility as a TNA star.
I said it from the beginning and I'll say it now. Angle vs. Joe was one of the most anticipated feuds in my recent memory, and they should've held off on it instead of finally getting the bank and blowing it first chance they get.
TNA screwed up, not Angle. Angle was a commodity that could've helped had he been used right.
As for Joe going to Raw, if he is going to get a backseat to Angle, he should go to Raw. He's too big a star to take a back seat. I would gladly trade Kurt Angle for Samoa Joe at this stage in their careers too.

Oh, and trust me, Angle is one hell of an ego maniac. After he left, all he did was bash the WWE. He claimed that HHH was scared of him. He stated that all the top ten matches in WWE had him in it. And much more. With the top ten, Angle has got a point there. I mean, just off the top of my head I can recall Angle/Taker, Angle/Benoit (many times), Angle/Brock, Angle/Rock, Angle/Steve Austin, and Angle/Edge in a hair v. hair match that turned out good. Again he has a point. As for Hunter being scared of him, I did notice that ever since that love triangle angle back in 2000, there was a bit of tension between the two. Then with the roster split, it became even more evident as they would frequently refer to each other as the "paper champ" (Hunter on RAW as World and Angle on SD! as WWE Champ) when none of that made sense or progressed the storylines. And then when Angle made his way back to RAW in 2005, Hunter conveniently took "time off" while Angle got into the main event scene with John Cena. And then when Hunter buried Flair and was poised to return to the main event scene, whaddaya know! Angle gets thrown over to SD! to hold the title for an injured Batista. This coupled with the fact that WWE seemed to keep the two separated in the latter years (even though that feud was money) and whenever Hunter expressed unhappiness toward Kurt, it was Kurt who was moved to another brand suggested there was some real life heat. ECW was the final insult. There really isn't much else for Joe to do now other than challenge for the NWA Title, but now of course Angle gets to do that. Joe's momentum has been killed. He's probably going to end up back in the X-Division. Or on WWE Smackdown!.

You make a good arguement about the HHH/Angle thing, but I definitely disagree with the Top Ten matches thing.
Austin/ Hart @ WM13
Austin/Rock @ WM17
HBK/Ramon @ WM10
HBK/Hart @ WM12
HHH/Foley @ Royal Rumble 2000
HBK/Taker HIAC
All those matches would be in the top ten. Angle would have a couple, but not ALL ten. And the guy specified that he would be in all ten. Bullshit.
And do you really think it's fair for someone to come in straight away and steal someone else's push?

^that's not fair at all. Angle should've been built up on one side of the spectrum and Joe on the other, and their paths cross eventually. TNA could've been talked about with a Joe/Angle feud on the table for months, and it could've helped their company out so much with new people watching, but they already killed that feud and there's no one else who has Joe's credibility in TNA to face Angle and warrant that kind of fan outcry.
TNA shot themselves in the head . . . literally.

I agree, Stare. They should have built this feud up, not just go for it straight away. Build the two of them up as TNA's biggest stars. Make sure that Joe is just as popular as Angle (yes, he could be), and then do the match. Get Joe to the point where he has almost peaked, where he's so over that nothing could damage him too much, and then place him in the feud with Angle. And most importantly, they should have waited on this feud until Joe lost to someone else, getting someone who deserves a push over. I'm so frustrated by Angle taking Joe's streak. It accomplishes NOTHING. All the work Joe put in was just wasted. He got knocked down a notch and no-one got anymore over.
And, in regards to your previous post which i happenned to miss last time, they didn't have to bury Angle. They could have put him in feuds with people who could afford a loss. Joe and Christian cannot afford a loss to someone like Angle. If Joe or Christian were to lose to someone like Alex Shelley it would be huge for him, but Christian or Joe could argue that it was simply a fluke. So, they would have stayed very over and that loss wouldn't have damaged their status. If Angle beats them, it's hard to call it a fluke because Angle is a huge star and a great wrestler, so it would seem that Angle was simply better than them.
Angle could have feuded with AJ Styles, that would have been almost as big, and the matches would have been of the same calibur or even better (I reckon AJ can pull out better matches than Joe since he can adapt to loads of different styles). AJ could have lost first time. Won the second time in convincing fashion and then lost again. The fact that he's a heel also helps the fact that he wouldn't have been as hurt by it.
Or he could have feuded with Christopher Daniels. Baldie Vs. Baldie.
Or the Truth. Or Sting. Or Abyss. There were loads of options.

MAIN EVENT: OLYMPIC GOLD MEDALIST KURT ANGLE VS. "THE PHENOMENAL" AJ STYLES TNAwrestling.com received word from TNA management on Monday afternoon that the main event for Thursday's "iMPACT!" on SpikeTV will feature the first-ever singles match between "The Phenomenal" AJ Styles and Olympic gold medalist Kurt Angle! It's a dream bout that wrestling fans all around the world have wanted to see - and it will finally happen Thursday night! Don't miss it!

Once again, TNA is going and giving away a dream match too early. I am sure there are alot of people that want to see Styles vs Angel, and would be willing to pay for it, but now will get to see if for free. I swear i think someone needs to go and remove Russo physically from the booking committee. Why would you give away a match like this for free. Wait till Angle wins the world title off Christian and then can hype a feud between the two?

TNA learned nothing from Joe/Angle.
They are pulling a WWE and not listening to their fans.

I must admit, I thought TNA would do the right thing as regards Angle/Samoa Joe. But years of having the rug pulled from underneath me as WWE fan, I let my guard down with TNA. Unless, they've got something really special for Joe lined up, I think they've blown a great chance to shorten the gap between themselves and WWE. It's a shame.

The reason TNA is going down the public shitter now is that they are taking all of WWE's leftovers. Angle's stock has fallen since he jumped ship. Christian Cage is all but forgotten; when it comes to popularity and draw he's merely a shell of his former self. The Dudley are shit now.
However, I guarantee that if a popular, or even mediocre star on TNA jumped to WWE, their stock would rise dramatically. Joe jumping to WWE would be something. Even though they botch most of their talent with lame storylines involving midgets under the ring and white boys with mohawks yelling "HOORAH!!!, HOORAH!!!", I'm sure they'd know how to use him. As a matter of fact, if Joe jumped to SD!, I would put him in a program with King Booker, Finlay, or another experienced vet for a possible match of the year.

Anyone see Lockdown? It was pretty good overall. There was no spectacular matches, but besides the Blindfold match, they were all pretty good. Even Gail Kim against Jaqueline.

Thought it was a pretty crappy show.
Daniels/Lynn was good. Xscape match was decent but really boring at time. Lethal Lockdown was okay. LAX/3D was ridiculously shit, just apalling. The Blindfold match was boring as hell. Don't remember any other matches, but i remember there were some other shitty ones.

Hey! Lockdown was in my hometown, fun fun - Although I wasn't able to get tickets I had a couple friends that said they had a good time. Then again, I'm not one to judge. I'm sure it's alot different - LIVE Steel Cage setting, watching a rarely out of Florida TNA PPV.
Looked Okay. I'm not as avid on TNA as I used to be but the PPV sounded interesting enough. Lynn/Daniels match looked like the highlight from my point of view - then again X Division type matches always have been in fan perspective.

Lol. Thanks for that Cactus. In reality, the X-Division sucks right now.....they're pushing the wrong guys. Haven't seen a really good X-division match since Bound For Glory.
