Fat Joe, 50 Cent Beef, Other VMA Highlights By Clover Hope Date: 8/29/2005 2:00 am
The 50 Cent, Fat Joe beef came to a head Sunday night after words were exchanged between the two rappers during MTV’s Diddy-hosted Video Music Awards.
While onstage announcing reggaeton artists Daddy Yankee, Don Omar, and Tego Calderon, Fat Joe took first aim at 50 Cent, stating, “I feel safe with all the police protection, courtesy of G-Unit.”
Several minutes later, 50 retaliated with bleeped-out obscenities for Fat Joe, during a set featuring Mobb Deep and Tony Yayo.
"Fat Joe's a p**sy. F**k Joe. F**k Terror Squad."
Sources stated that 50 actually jumped on stage off camera after Fat Joe made the quip about G-Unit.
In related news, during pre-show festivities 50 appeared with Mase and officially announced the former Bad Boy rapper’s signing to G-Unit.
Mid-show, Diddy conducted an orchestra while a montage of the late Notorious B.I.G.’s music videos played, including “Juicy” and “Warning.” Snoop Dogg spit a verse on the latter.
The Doggfather also won Diddy’s “Fashion Challenge,” which awarded $50,000 each to the charities of the best dressed male and female. Snoop was up against Usher and Kanye West.
With the theme of the night being “anything can happen,” Snoop’s pimp sidekick Bishop Magic Don Juan received a surprise makeover, courtesy of Diddy.
In place of his usual vibrant gear, the Don sported a normal suit with no gaudy accessories.
Diddy also brought the old school back when Luke and his raunchy dancers emerged during a dance medley, and MC Hammer performed his hit, “U Can't Touch This.”
Other Hip-Hop performances included Ludacris, who won his first Moon Man for Best Rap Video with “Number One Spot,” Kanye West featuring Jamie Foxx, and Houston rappers Mike Jones, Paul Wall, and Slim Thug, who performed during pre-show.That Fat Joe/50 shit was hilarious. Check out 50 cursin' out Joe on stage: img371.imageshack.us/img371/7403/fatjoediss2pq.swfI'm workin' on getting a clip of Fat Joe's diss on right now... No fuckin' way. I could barely make out what 50 was sayin', as they kept bleeping everything out. All I heard was some parts of "Fuck" and "Pussy" but I didn't know who. That Puerto Rican 3 Way that Joe did with Omar, Yankee, and Calderon was hot. I still think the Outta Control Remix is mad hot. But lets face it, "Outta Control" and "So Seductive" has 50 written all over it. It ain't Yao or Mobb Deep's tracks, their just "featurings". I heard Suge got shot via Wendy Williams on the radio today. I heard something about him and dieing, but now I heard it ain't true.

Hey check this out, I've discovered what might be the best hip-hop radio show ever in life. It's a show based out of Montreal called WEFUNK RADIO, and, not only do they just play hip-hop, they also play funk, old-school, taurntablism, and rare grooves; as well as freestyle sessions and guest spots.. A must-listen for any serious, non-commercial hip-hop head. They have a streaming radio line on ITunes. And you can DL entire (2-hour) shows dating back to 2001 at www.wefunkradio.com/

God I hope not. Besides, Fat Joe already has 2 crews: DITC and Terror Squad.
Anyway...
Lil' Kim's 'Naked Truth' to get 5 mics in the October issue of The Source.
Brooklyn rapper Lil’ Kim will hold the unique distinction of being the first female to ever get a 5-mic rating from The Source magazine.
The Naked Truth, the rapper’s fourth solo album, will be bestowed with the prestigious honor in the October issue of the magazine.
“I think it just does great for the evolution of women,” Lil’ Kim told AllHipHop.com. “I thinks it's gonna be great for women now too.”
With her latest offering, Lil’ Kim said she’ll help change the pessimistic attitudes for females in Hip-Hop.
“Some women probably feel like, ‘I'm not even gonna try to get five mics, I know I ain't getting five mics,’” Lil’ Kim said. “So women [will] be like, ‘Now I know I can get five mics.’”
The Naked Truth release date has also been changed. The album was originally slated to hit stores September 13, but will now hit stores September 27.
Lil’ Kim, once a member of Notorious B.I.G.’s Junior Mafia rap group, was sentenced to 366 days in federal prison for lying to a federal grand jury about her knowledge of a 2001 broad daylight shoot out in front of Hot 97’s offices in New York.
The rapper will report to a Connecticut prison on September 19 to start serving her prison term.
La Bella Mafia, Kim’s last album, got four and a half mics from the Source, known as the “Hip-Hop Bible.”[/i][/color]
That is terrible, has anyone even heard that garbage single she has out. That shit is straight trash.

A year a day, but she had more than four months to prep for it? The fuck is that. In other news, anyone think BET should call it quits? They have destroyed 106 & Park by having Free & AJ no longer host it, and replace them with Gay-Tiger and some chick that is a cheap BET rip-off of MTV's Vanessa. The BET Awards is proof that no one likes BET.

BET hasn't had credibility since Viacom bought the network out a few years ago, now BET just reinforces stereotypes about black people. The only thing I watch on BET is Uncut.

Thought this would be the best place to ask this. In Ibiza, there is a great song that is constantly being played by Mr. Vegas, but I don't know the name of it. Listen to the very first part of the music, before it changes into, I think, Tamale. I love the very first song and I really want to know what it's called. www.mr-vegas.com/index.htmAnyone know?

Rocky, I'm working on it...I'll find out...
In reaction to Common's recent comments disapproving of interracial dating, several heated UK rappers recorded a response track, where among other terms called the Chicago rapper "a racist bitch."
Common, an emcee known for his conscious image, recently revealed to Touch Magazine (The UK's leading urban music publication) that he objected to mixed race relations. He specifically said he opposed black men with dreadlocks dating white women because these men would be "going against what the dreadlocks purpose was."
After reading the interview rappers Rising Son, Yungun, and Doc Brown decided to address the comments rhyming over the beat for Common's "The Corner." All of the emcees come from mixed races and felt personally attacked.
On the track, titled "Dear Common (The Corner Dub)," Rising calls the Chicago emcee "a racist beeyatch." Yungun adds fuel to the fire spitting "I liked your words but it's hard to believe in 'em now/ And I'm a friendly type of guy I want peace to abound/ Problem is though, if I ever see you around/ I'ma have to stop Rising from beating you down/ Because he wants to slay ya/ Show ya how you turn a concious rapper into a fully unconscious rapper." He continues saying. "I quote "sellout like a dred and a white girl", shocking/ I thought that who you date is a personal option/ And who made you think you're the one that could stop them/ You said they sold out, well I guess you got something in common.
Furthermore Rising had this to say about the windy city representative, "he needs to be careful because no matter what his opinions are, he's still got a lot of white fans. He comes over here and does gigs here; most of his fan base here is white. I mean, who was that 'Electric Circus' album aimed at? That wasn't aimed at no one in no ghetto, that wasn't aimed at no black people, that wasn't a black album. If he keeps wanting to use the term sell out, what was that album all about?"
On HipHopGame.com, where the song is posted in its entirety, Hip-Hop heads have posted mixed reviews.
The track was all right, but if Common decides to reply, it's gonna get ugly.

If hip-hop dies, do what they did in South Park: BLAME CANADA!!! Eat shit and die. That's not acceptable here, in a non flaming forum. Consider this a friendly reminder. Anything else like this, in any forum at p2p will result in an official, private warning. EDIT: How are you getting on with your search, Trent?
