Bullshit.
Lakers are up 3-1 and will probably end this one in 5 or 6. I told everyone from the door that Kobe was the real MVP and not Stevie Nash. Kobe got robbed. He has shown that he can score 80 plus points in a game, but more importantly, in the playoffs, he has shown that he can play the role of the facilitator, aka the real point guard.
Any thoughts on Miami/Chicago? Personally, I see an upset in the making. I had a feeling that Riley kicking Van Gundy out the door would reap negative Karma.

Personally, I don't care. The faster the playoffs are done, the faster I can get back to thinking about football. I already missed the f'n NFL Draft studying for exams. I want to see if the Titans trade Steve McNair more than I want to see Kobe Bryant hitting 20-foot jumpers at the buzzer.

The Lakers and the Clippers are looking good. Chicago is just flat out-playing the Heat. And the Pistons are, well, the Pistons.
The road still runs through Detroit IMO.

Lakers went down last night after Kobe got tossed, however, they are still up 3-2 and could close it out Thursday night in L.A. Meanwhile, the Clippers, I repeat the CLIPPERS have advanced to the second round. Only the Clips and Dallas were able to put their opening round opponents away quickly, and that's quite impressive. I'm looking forward to the battle of the L.A. teams, Clippers v. Lakers. Clippers in 7

Kobe went for 50 last night, but the L.A. Lakers were still outmatched by the undermanned Suns. Their opportunity to advance to the next round may have just gone out the window. There is still Game 7 in Phoenix, however chances are slim. But this is the NBA.
I don't think the Dallas Mavericks can advance to the Finals simply because the San Antonio Spurs seem to have their number every time. And not having the home court in that potential 2nd Round match up is not to their advantage.

Well, it seems the REAL MVPs team won the other night & I expect the Suns to close the series out with a win and send Black Mamba's team home with their tails betwen their legs.

I'm hoping Raja Bell will fuck up again. You know he's licking his chops waiting to come out Kobe, and that might work against the Suns. Bell will guard Kobe and he won't get as many looks, but that's where the rest of the team comes in. Of the three games the Lakers won, 5 players scored in double figures and the pounded the ball down low. If they can take advantage of Phoenix's lack of size in the middle, they will wrap this series up.

Go Clippers! ;D My other L.A. teams the Kings (not in the playoffs) and Angels (almost in last place of their division) there's a bright spot for me right now. I would have loved to see the "Hallway Series" but the Clippers match up better with the Suns and they are a more complete team then the Lakers, I can see the Clippers taking this in 5 or 6 games over the Suns. The Clippers in the Western Conference Finals? I think so. ;D
I expect the New Jersey Nets to beat the Miami Heat in 7! Mark it down and the Pistons will win in 5 against the Cavs.

Try Pistons in 4. Were you watching the same game I was? King James is good and all, but he doesn't have the supporting cast needed to beat the best team in the NBA. As for the Clippers, I agree that they may ahve Phoenix's number. Brand, Radmanavic, and Kaman could pound the ball in the paint, and since the Suns big men (Stoudamire, Thomas, Grant) are injured or relatively ineffective, Clippers could take advantage. The only way Phoenix could pull this off is they hit L.A. with a barrage of threes in EVERY game. But NBA history has shown that teams who live and die by the three don't last that long.

After the Game 1 last night, The Suns may have other ideas.
Anyone think New Jersey will pull off the upset over Miami?

I wouldn't call it an upset. The Nets dominated the entire game.

Yeah, but I just read Jefferson may miss Game 2 due that ankle he twisted. If he goes down, you can kiss the Nets' chances at the title au revior.

The Mavs just went over the Spurs by like, 22 points.
