Sub-Zero can be the best only because of his cheap combo's..you can kill someone without them even laying a hand on you..(which is totally cheap, I hate the bastards online that use that ) But I like MKD's different cast of characters... I found Kobra and Darrius pretty fun to use as an Alternate plua Darrius Gauntlets are amazing..MKD is definitley up here in my top Kombat games

As an alternate, I usually go for Darrius or Shujinko, merely because I like the move-stealer and Darrius is a killer character. Bo' Rai Cho is another good alternate for me. X-Y-Left Trigger-A-Left Trigger = One great combo that puts you right into Jojutsu.

Nah. Jax doesn't have an afro. He's got a fake gangsta look.
See Jax's MKDA alternate.

Fuck Jax, he is and always was garbage. I forgot who I used to do semi well with in the last Mortal Kombat game, because well, I beat it awhile ago and have since not picked it up. I refuse to play a one on one fighting game (unless its wrestling because they have a reverse system that is mildly worth a damn) online because its too easily corruptable and plagued with cheaters or cheap cunts.

I know that feeling in Halo 2.
Jax is not as good as Darrius, I say as well. Jax WAS good in MK2/MK3/UMK3/MK4, but he's been lame in recent years.

Maybe, I've haven't played Jax too much and DA drove me crazy... I always loved doing repeated uppercuts in the beginning games though, with Jax expecially..Always seemed like he kicked ass so much harder than the pussy Ninjas or the other rest of the cast

Pussy Ninjas? Are you completely insane.... Dude those "pussy ninjas" are most of the reason that the MK series made it anywhere outside of the first one. Sub Zero and Scorpion are probably the 2 most recognized characters from that game, and Reptile just added to the craze. Ermac was always a bad ass and Rain was one of the most popular characters with the people I knew when they put him in a game. Noob Saibot owns all sorts of ass, and Smoke (as a Ninja) was pretty smooth too, although his cyborg look was better utilized in 3 than it was in later games.
Now Sektor and Cyrax were pretty cool in their own right...although I preferred Cyrax. Mostly because of his Net attack and the self destruct fatality that reminded me....and most people of Predator. I think they dropped the ball more so in the development of a few characters such as Jax. Jax really had a minimal story and even though he was used in multiple games everybody basically sees him as Sonya's backup. Other characters they dropped the ball on (storywise) were a few of the Ninjas. Ermac, Rain, Noob Saibot and Smoke... merely an afterthought, Reptile got the bulk of his story told in 4 in my opinion. Of course MK 4 was probably the worst game for Characters in the end because there were no reoccuring characters MADE in that game..unless you count Quan Chi. Its not that they weren't used again, its mostly that people hardly remembered them. Whereas in MK3 there were a ton of people not used again, but are recognizable.
My opinion is, if you're gonna make a game with a ton of people in it.... give them something to be remembered by. Why waste space with characters that aren't going to enhance the game or make people want to see more of them. I'd kind of like to know what happened with Drahmin and Moloch, or Mavado and Hsu Hao...and Frost she seemed like an interesting character.

Frost stole sub zero's dragon amulet. Then her powers became to much and she froze herself. ;D

Yeah, I think just about everyone's died in MK.
Johnny Cage: Died about 3-4 times. Sonya: Died once. Jax: Once. Kitana: Once or twice. Mileena: I think once. Tanya: Twice, I think. Frost: Once. Too bad, she's hot. Ironic, since she has kori (ice) powers. Scorpion: Every one he's been in. Liu Kang: Once. Kung Lao: Once. Noob Saibot: You mean the ORIGINAL Sub-Zero? Yeah, he died. Kano: Yep. He died in MKDA. Hsu Hao: Died once. Mavado: Yeah, he died after MKDA.
Anyway, referring to JuncoJunkie's "pussy ninjas" comment, excuse me, PUSSY NINJAS?! Since when has a ninja been a pussy? Anyway, Scorpion is probably the most recognizable character in ANY fighting game (and he's a lot better than that pussy Ryu), Sub-Zero's in the same boat, and let's remember the ORIGINAL hidden character, Reptile. Story-wise, Scorp and Sub have some of the best storylines. Reptile's is awesome as well (he becomes Onaga). In MK3, Sektor, Smoke and Cyrax were introduced, and I must say, their storylines were pretty cool. Especially with...Noob lurking around. The UMK3 ninjas were probably the most underrated characters ever. According to Ed Boon on Nightwolf's Card (check YouTube), they were going to bring back the "nostalgia characters" for MKD, including Nightwolf, Sindel and Ermac. Ermac had probably the best moveset in MKD, especially with his telekinetic moves. Rain was also good, although he was forgotten by the MK mythology. Noob Saibot was probably the coolest of them, especially since he's not a ninja; he's a wraith. Storywise, Reptile, Scorp and Subz have the lengthiest and most intricate, but Ermac's is pretty good too. Rain I didn't get a real good feel for, and Noob's has steadily been getting better and better, especially forcing Smoke to help him.
Ultimate Ninja Question: Who's better: Robo-Smoke or Human Smoke?

Just trying to boost my (somewhat) love for Jax, that was only a halfhaearted comment. Being a fan since the beginning I know how the Ninja Impact has brought MK to it's greatness now-a-days, I believe I even said Scorpian was even my all time favorite MK cast member and along with numerous comments about how I love certian things of Ermac and Sub-Zero.
Please don't take these offensively as I'm merely just trying to make a point..honestly who hasn't adopted a Ninja sidekick?

Thats sucks.. I enjoyed the first movie they made but got pissed at the second when they killed off Cage early on but again it was good for a one-time action flick Either way they both kicked the shit out of the Street Fighter movie (W/ Jean Claude Van Dam) that was just god awful.. Hopefully the rumors are true though, I'd pay money to see a third MK

Well, depending on what they do and who dies, it may or may not be a good or bad movie. If Sub-Zero dies, yeah it'd suck.

Didn't sub-zero die in the first one...along with Scorpion....
The Sub-Zero in the second one was both different and explained. My favorite fight scene in the first one was the one with Reptile. He needs to be brought back as an actual person and not some little CGI piece.
