And wasn't it a nationality thing?

TNA's World X Cup in 2004 ruled ass. Shame they can't devote a whole 3 hours PPV to it.
I'll reveal the teams. Consider it a SPOILER . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . .
Team USA - Chris Sabin, Jay Lethal, Sonay Dutt & AJ Styles.
Team Mexico - Ultimo Guerrero, Ultimo Dragon (Don't know why he's not in Japan's team), Mistico & Rey Bucanero.
Team Japan - Jushin Thunder Liger, Black Tiger, Gedo & Minoru Tanaka.
Team UK - Doug Williams, Jody Fleish, Nigel McGuinnes & Johnny Storm.

Japans team looks pretty bad ass.

I actually think that all the teams look really really strong, especially compared to last time's. And those guys put on awesome matches, so these guys should do even better.
Personally, i would have replaced Jay Lethal with Shelley, Strong or Aries.
It would have been nice to see Tajiri in Team Japan.

1. He's been wrestling in CMLL for a while now
or
2. Not enough people know what nationality he is, including TNA management
Can't give them too much crap if its the latter. They're at least a bit better at knowing who they hire then WWE.
Johnny: Hey Vince, have you met Super Crazy?
Vince: Jesus, ANOTHER jap?
Johnny: Hey Vince, what should we do with CM Punk?
Vince: Give 'em the tag titles for a couple weeks, see if they can get MNM over.
Johnny: Hey Vince, what-
Vince: HOLY SHIT, THAT LEPRECHAUN'S STEALING THE WORLD TITLE!
(Vince beats Chris Benoit with a sheleli)

Doug Williams, in a X division match?
Nice to see some FWA talent there!

To once again rub it in your faces ...I have been trained by both Doug Williams and Jonny Storm and have met Jody Fleisch. And on the subject of FWA, I was a security guard for them a couple of weeks ago at FWA War on the Shore, and I got to break up Stevie Knight and Johnny Angel... Jealous?
Back to TNA. This should be awesome, I enjoyed it last time. It's shame Team Canada aren't on this (By the way, I've been trained by Petey Williams), but they're a proper stable in TNA now. Shame, they still should be in it.
Looks like pretty decent teams.

Yeah, he came back at British Uprising 3, when i first saw Paul Birchill.
DDT, i'm only jealous of the Petey and Jody part. Good job on getting a part in the show.

Styles on Team TNA? Interesting, at least he won't be in the X Title picture any time soon.

Trent- i thought Team UK was looking great as well.
However, apparently Team UK has been scrapped because they only want four teams: USA, Mexico, Japan & Canada.
I'm pretty annoyed by that because Jody Fleish really would have done well and showed the world his talent.
And Styles isn't on Team US as well. Wait and see for yourself. I believe you'll find out this Saturday.

They should make it a 6 team event then, put in UK and add some other obscure country. Make a Samoan Team or something I'm sure they could find people to fit in for any sort of team. And if this thing pans out the way it ALWAYS does, then Japan doesn't have a bats chance in hell. They've always gotten their asses handed to them whether it be X-Cup or just people from the Japanese teams in regular matches.

Who are they going to use for Team Canada? Ya know, cause the one they have now is bollocks.

I think Petey, Eric Young, Johnny Devine & Tyson Dux.

Well they'll use the Stable team that they have now...and you're right all of them outside of Petey suck nuts. They should bring back the original team Canada, which put on a damn good show.

Teddy Hart, Jack Evans, Petey Williams, and who was the last guy?
But yeah, that'd be grand.

Jack Evans? Anyway, I'm disappointed about no team UK. It's not definate it's not going to happen. Ah well, I'll talk to Jody about it this Saturday. Go me. **Dances**
