The problem I see with society is that people are failing to be good parents and people keep on blaming the video games and mass media, but parents need to blame themselves for not taking care of their kids. More now than never society needs god and to know who his son is. What I mean by that is the relationship with christ is vital in knowing one's self. A lot of times we profess everything but god yet onlly through god we tear through our selfish ambitions. With that we can break apart the fabric of selfish ambitions of just thinking about "I I I" and whole "i" or millienium generation. I have a problem with judging others, and some christians believe it is their right to judge others. But in truth it is only god's right to judge others. My view of christianity is a personal relation with god and his son Jesus Christ. A lot of times we look at life differently, blinded by society and its ills and fail to take responsiblity for our own actions. This is why I see that people bash christians and christians bash others yet god calls us to profess our own sins. And they will be forgotten. "For god so loved the world, he gave his only begotten son for whoever believed in him shall not perish but have everlasting life" John 3:16

Interesting views. E2's reply took the thread in a whole new direction though. Let's hear it for avoiding religious talks!

I agree with most of it... except the Jesus part
I think Jesus was some dude with some really good friends that said, "Hey, you guys wanna play a little fun?" And little did you know 2000 years later here we are talking about the dude that played the boldest, and best trick on society
Personally, from a fat persons point of view (Oh and a lazy persons) I like Buddha. Sure I was raised Catholic and all that jazz but have you seen the guy!? He's freaking huge! Buddha must've known had to party and relax with all those deepthinking and meditation stuff to...I think I'm converting ;D

God is responsible for almost every war imaginable.
God exists, but not in the way people think, the idea of God is a concept that was originally intended to control the masses.
I personally think that we're a channel on God's TV, possibly the highest-rated comedy/reality TV show in Heaven. Because we humans do extraordinarily stupid things. I also think aliens who fly around space laugh at our primitive ways as well.

I don't have anything against organised religion, but it is an outdated concept now. The same people who wrote the bible believed in bleeding people to cure diseases and that not washing was good for you. We know that isn't the case now, science has proven that wrong. I just feel the idea of religion is a fundemently flawed one, but it is true that people who do have faith tend to be better members of society.
This however...
Is an excellent point. Some parents point out media or games for their own failings, but personalities are formed by what they see early role models doing, and in the most case, those role models are their parents. But that's a different debate really (Nature vs. Nurture)

Morality Enforcer? Haha, just joking .. Reece puts everything better in words he's a natural, But I agree totally with the media point. My parents gave it to me straight from when I was 3, and I grew up on video games however if I ever got my hands on something I wasn't supposed to, they would guilt me in untill punishment wasn't neccasary. And personally I think it's the best way.. I respect my parents with every ounce that's in me to this day because they were truthful to me in that aspect of guilt and didn't have to dodge their way around my little mistakes Word of advice: Don't bullshit your kids, it'll just fly back at you in the long run..

Satan is my God.
Does that mean I'm evil?

No, it makes you a redneck.
Because Satan is red.
And so is his neck.
