Please take this thread seriously, because this video shows you the truth about meat and where it really came from. This video is called "Meet your Meat" and was narrorated by Alec Baldwin, who is a leading intelectual and activist. Everything about this video is true. I saw this video several times, and it still seems very disturbing to me. I think out of all of the peta videos, this video expresses the uttermost truth about the meat industry. So if you really want to know where meat comes from just follow the link, if you don't and you think ignorance is bless than don't watch it. I understand that many people don't want to give up on meat, and I just can't judge people for that because of how it's unfortunately part of our society. But if you want to know the truth about meat and where it comes from all you need to do is click below. www.petatv.com/tvpopup/Prefs.asp?video=meet_your_meat

Meat comes from animals that are slaughtered unmercifully and to be perfectully honest big veggie boy, I've ventured into the slaughter houses. And once you get passed the smell of it, and if you're not a big pussy and can handle carcasses and blood and all that other good stuff, then it ain't all that bad. People are doing their fucking jobs and guess what... and heres the part that always pisses off you veggies... the general public could give 2 shits about the animals that arrive on their platters daily because we love the taste of it. Once upon a time, you did too, but you sit there and think that because you're not eating meat anymore that you're actually making a difference. Well sorry, you're not. As a matter of fact, most of the vegans are as bad a radical religious figures...
Always pouring numbers and "facts" and bullshit at normal, regular folk, hoping to change us into gaunt, unhealthy to the appearance leaf munchers, and its really a big turn off to the cause... which is a waste, because meat is packed full of a lot of good resources that you guys find in worthless dietary supplement type things if you even bother. Looking at a lot of vegetarians though, it doesn't look like they get much of the needed health requirements and as such look like crap.
Now I've seen Alec Baldwin and if you think that motherfucker aint eating meat, that portly son of bitch, then you are a lost soul in a fantasy land or he has about 6 hour a day salad bonanza. And the funny thing is, you called him an intellectual... why because he happened to be narrating that piece as if he actually knew what he was talking about? Its called a script son.. all he does is read lines for a living. He's about as intellectual as a tumbleweed. Meat is healthy, the way meat gets to me is of no concern to me... because thats how shit works in life. Are you going to go preach to a hungry lion in Africa about how he shouldn't chase the gazelle and then mutilate it while ingesting all of that dirty meat? If not, then stop wasting your breath with humans too.
Besides the same way we slaughter meat, vegetarians are just raising vegatables, which are also living organisms as well and slaugthering those. Get off the soap box. Food is food and people like meat. Besides, most kids see those kinds of videos in School anymore these days. I know I saw 3 of them. 1 in Biology, 1 in an earlier science class in Jr. high, and since I took Zoology, I saw one there too. That video is in no way a surprise or a "for your information" type thing, because its common knowlege.
EDIT: now if you'll excuse me, I'm going to have me some goddamn chicken and maybe even some leftover tri-tip. All this talk about mutilating and hurting animals has made me hungry.

He's an intellectual because he's liberal. Is he? He's that Balwin, right? I get them confused, mainly due to a lack of interest. ;D Lets make out.

The Mortal Kombat character "Meat" is a pretty shitty character. Although I did just beat the new MK game with him and his story seemed fucked. Tough break. And now seeing how its dinner time, I believe I'll have some kind of meat salad with blood dressing.

Well, that IS survival of the fittest; the strong and smart eating the weak and stupid. So I guess might makes right? That means if you were to mug someone who is physically handicap for their money, that puts you in the right because it is for "survival". Meat comes from animals that are slaughtered unmercifully and to be perfectully honest big veggie boy, I've ventured into the slaughter houses. EDIT: now if you'll excuse me, I'm going to have me some goddamn chicken and maybe even some leftover tri-tip. All this talk about mutilating and hurting animals has made me hungry. Sorry I just have to respond to this post. I could go on for pages to counter everything you said but I just want to pick out a few things. Lets just compare animals to human slaves in the past. You say how people don't care about animals being killed in factory farms, well guess what, people in south america and the southern states in the 19th century didn't give a shit about slaves or thier lives either. They just turned the other way, and found a bunch of bullshit excuses to justify it, just like your post. It was the same way in the holocuast. So people like the taste of it, that doesn't make it anymore right. This is where I have a problem with consumer freedom, because that is the same belief that justified slavery, and other acts of cruelty in the name of "the pursuit of freedom". As for health reasons you don't see any vegans or vegetarians croaking off from heart disease. The chemicals that are put in your meat does make effects on your health. Do you notice that most Amercans are a little overwieght compared to the rest of the world. As for nutrients, vegetarians and vegans get them from other means aside from causing a whole holocaust. You also brought up about the natural environment and how animals kill for food. Sorry Reaper but you just can't compare the two. In no ways we are part of the food chain, and we have no right to be apart of the food chain, especially being untop of the food chain. We have no need to fight for survival and worry about natural predators or diseases like wild animals do. We can have other alternatives to get our protien. Who are we to say that we are at the top of the food chain just because we are smarter, have more technology, and we have the power to do it. This goes along with the evil concept of might makes right. So we kill veggies too? I would laugh at that but other people told me that and I think that is a TOTAL JOKE. There is no way an plant can feel the same level of anguish, pain, fear, and depression an animal feels. Animals have feelings like humans do. Just because they don't have advanced brains doesn't mean there lives are less important. My bottom line is that animals are today's holocuast victims and slaves.
