It's just about time here to pull that old number 3 down and mark it the 4th, the 4th of July. Yessiree, The date the States called themselves free from British rule - and started themselves away from that rather awkward stripey, England Flag, toting FREEDOM! (For all white male land owners that is..)
Share your pride .. or your embarrassment! Share your redneck heritage (you know who you are) and brag about your amazingly awesome wow set of fireworks! And join in UK, this isn't complete without you!

Legal fireworks here in Oregon suck. If they explode or fly you can get fined like $400.

Same around here, but I live out kind of in the middle of nowhere on the outskirts of the city so theres plenty of shit thats flying on the 4th. Free shows wooooo... either that or I could just as easily see the one at the baseball stadium thats maybe 5 miles away.

Went down to the lake a couple days ago and bought your typical set - bottlerockets, firecrackers, roman candles .. basically the cheap stuff, and had some pre-4th fun. Luckily in Missouri there's not much else to do, so they embrace fireworks. Plus the lake towns, and farm country, flock with firework stands every mile.
I could understand California .. not so much Oregon. There's nothing more satisfying that lighting your own though, I'll give ya that.

Here in Torrance (outside of LA), we have block party all day, hot firemen coming to hose us down for fun in the afternoon, and potluck dinner followed by watching the awesome fireworks they do @ Wilson Park. But some punks in the neighborhood (used to be cute little kids, darn it) always like to blow some firecrackers to scare the little ones.

I could use some hot firewomen of my own, except reverse the hose and spray out some fun on the other end. Whatever floats you boat, or should I say ... whatever beats the heat.
The 4th is finally coming to a close around here .. depressing.

Yup, they hose us down - whoever jumps in gets completely wet..... boys, girls, men, women... it was really hot today so being hosed down was quite pleasant - took some heat away. So yeah you can say I quite like it. It's a tradition in our neighborhood. ;D And the fireworks were good - got some smiley faces!

Yes, yes I did lol
Okay, I'm here in the UK (1772 Runners Up), and we had our work's canteen put on an Independance Day menu, except we had Polish people serve us instead of Mexicans.
So let me get this right, in the UK, some people celebrate being kicked out of the USA
well, we left one hell of an FU, the Bush family
only joshing, hope you all had a good one
