Repost from CFoT.It's been argued for years who was sexier: Captain Kirk, or Captain Picard. During Picard's reign, he lost more and more of his hair until he was essential bald. Kirk, on the other hand, had his hair...which is ironic, since Shatner himself is bald. But what about Spock? Remember how long his hair was in the first ST movie? How sexy was he?? Now, according to the story, Spock was there for several years. Vulcan hair must grow at a slower rate than human hair, because after 3.5 years, my hair grew to this length: Now, I don't normally wear my hair like this ( usually I just pull it back in a ponytail), but you can kinda get a good idea of how long its gotten during the last few years. Here are some other shots of it: It was actually longer than I thought. Now, for those that don't know, I've been growing it for Locks of Love, and decided that it was time to actually donate it. So, after a few minutes of sitting in the above chair, it was gone. How much? All of it. Why? Because I feel it's the best way to honor the kids that have lost theirs in chemo. Thus, I give you my new look... Oooo, you can see the birthmark on the back of my neck. Now, to give ya an idea of how long my hair was... As you can see, they didn't quite get all the hair. So, I fixed that when I got home: Now begins another 3-4 year journey in growing more hair for Locks of Love. Until next time...

Oh how could you LWH? I would kill to have hair like that, just like many other guys. Now you look like some skin-head.
Well, your still cool by my book.

Wow, the Life of LHW's Hair?
I think I'll wait for the movie.
Cool stuff LHW. Locks for Love is a good cause. The youth minister at our church is doing it at the moment. Unfortunately, his hair is not cool like yours.

Nice one. It's for a good cause, so I take my hat off to you. But, since I'm not wearing a hat, I'll just say congratulations.

having had short hair most of my adult life, I must say that after all that effort to grow your hair, the cause you have had it removed for is a vey worthy one indeed.
I demand they give you the captains chair of the Enterprise as a reward
Well done mate, takes some guts to lose your hair after all that time

Thanks, guys. Unlike my old man, who's naturally bald, I've been blessed with a full head of hair, and a job that allows me to grow it long, so it's the least I can do.
It'll be an interesting day at work, that's for sure...only a few people know that it was coming off yesterday...maybe I'll wear a hat. LOL

Thanks, bro. I gotta say, though, considering that it was 12'F outside when I left for work, I do kinda miss it. Although, I'd rather have it cold, than burned, if'n I'd've done this in the summer. LOL

Thanks, Cactus. And, I don't think I can really be called a hippy, since I've never smoked a joint, or tried any other drug. LOL
