only 5 acts are automatically inducted, and they are

These are the acts we have to choose from...
90's:
Blur
Oasis
Prodigy
Nirvana
Dr Dre
Red Hot Chilli Peppers
Robbie Williams
Radio Head
Spice Girls
Missy Elliot
now this is hard for me to vote in 'cos i like them all and have albums by every single one of them. i can see why they were all picked.
oasis were the biggest band in the world in the early stages of britpop. their debut album outsold Sgt Pepper, and they had the biggest concert in UK history at Knebworth. they're one of the most famous Britpop bands, Oasis released their debut single Supersonic in 1994. Brothers Liam and Noel Gallagher shot to fame and their album (What's The Story) Morning Glory sold over four million copies. Since then they've had six UK No 1 singles and five No 1 albums.
Blur was formed in 1989. Instrumental in the birth of Britpop, they faced one of the biggest battles of the decade for No 1 with rivals Oasis. Blur hit the top spot, leaving the Gallagher brothers behind. They've since scored one other UK No 1 and topped the album charts five times.
in 96 you were either a blur fan or an oasis fan. they were the beatles and stones for my generation.
the prodigy were the biggest dance act ever to come out of britain. the band shot to fame in the mid-90s with their blend of hard dance, rock and controversy. They've had 14 top twenty singles, two No 1s and three No 1 albums. Their most famous song Firestarter reached No 1 in 1996.
Robbie Williams was the cheeky one in Take That. After friction in the ranks he left to go solo. His first few singles did moderately well, but the tune Angels set his career on fire, despite only reaching No 4. He's had five UK No 1 singles and five No 1 albums. he's now the biggest selling act in britain and beat his friends oasis to have the biggest concert in UK history last year, playing to 375,000 people at knebworth.
Radiohead was formed in 1988 by five lads who met at a private boys' school outside Oxford. They've never had a UK No 1 single (Paranoid Android reached the highest position of No 3 in 1997) but have had four No 1 albums. i also hear they are quite popular in the states.
i wont go into any details on the other acts cos, well, they need no introduction. everyone knows the spice girls, dr dre, nirvana, chilli peppers and missy elliot.
