Thanks for the update, negro.
I respect The Game for his unique style and ability to get it groovin' in the clubs. But my love for "Hip Hop", or what passes for hip hop these days is fading because I find it repetitive and tasteless. Lately, the retro sounds of Johnny Coletrane and Marvin Gaye have populated my stereo.

The G-Unot campaign may very well be over. That is, if 50 Cent accepts the Game's request that the two once-affiliated rappers end their ongoing beef.
During an interview in New York yesterday (Sept. 29) with Hot 97 radio personality Angie Martinez, the Game extended an olive branch to his bitter rival, repeatedly urging 50 Cent to call into the station.
The Compton-bred rapper also insisted he was sincere and said he hoped to find a resolution with 50 Cent, who played an active role on his debut album The Documentary.
" just to talk and just to see where our heads are and see if maybe we can come to an even playing field -- respectfully to each other," said the Game. " see if we can figure it out [as] grown-ups."
In February 2005, a man affiliated with the Game was shot in front of Hot 97's Manhattan office building minutes after 50 Cent publicly kicked his West Coast counterpart out of G-Unit during an on-air interview.
The pair would later reconcile at a highly-publicized press conference, but the Game claimed the two weren't mentally prepared for it.
"We weren't ready to do that. You can't force us to do anything," he told Martinez. "I don't think that either of us was ready to get on that stage."
Game further likened the failed resolution to removing a steak out of an oven before it is done cooking.
"You bit into [the steak] and it wasn't ready because it wasn't done," he philosophized. "We were just coerced into that situation. At the end of the day, we are all getting money and it should be good. Its Hip-Hop, it's a competition."
While Game sought to end his most salacious beef, he noted that his other rap rivals won't be so fortunate.
"Y'all ain't off the hook. I don't want everybody to think that it's all good," he said, alluding to his recent altercation with rapper Ras Kass. "Tomorrow, nothing is promised and that statement is bigger than Hip-Hop."
Additionally, Game re-confirmed that neither Dr. Dre, nor his beats, will appear on his sophomore opus, The Doctor's Advocate, due in stores on Nov. 14.
Game stated, however, that he still has a good relationship with his mentor.
"Dre is not on the album. No Dre involvement on this album," he said. "If you looking to buy my album just because Dre did a beat or two, leave it on the shelf. This album is executive-produced by the Game. Dre took me from the 'hood and gave me an opportunity so I'm always going to pay him that
very bizarre in my opinion

RAP BATTLE ENDS IN SHOOTING DEATH. HALTOM CITY — A rhyming contest between two rival aspiring rappers led to one of the contestants fatally shooting the other in the head, police said.
Christopher Smith, 17, was shot last month after a "rap battle" escalated into a fistfight and then the shooting, according to an arrest warrant affidavit released Monday by the Haltom City police.
Samuel Raynard Jones, 18, is being held on a murder charge for the shooting.
Witnesses told police the two teens met late Sept. 15 for a "rap battle" in an open field in Haltom City, a suburb north of Fort Worth.
"They knew each other, and they had an ongoing rap battle," said Sgt. Terry Stayer, spokeswoman for Haltom City police. "They were involved in these impromptu raps that took place in parking lots, at someone's house. They had ongoing back-and-forth issues, and they didn't like each other."
According to the affidavit, Smith rapped first, and then Jones rapped and pointed a handgun at Smith. Jones then handed his gun to a bystander and Smith and Jones had a fistfight. When the fight ended, Smith was collecting his personal belongings when Jones shot him in the head, witnesses said.
According to the affidavit, Smith had filed a police report about a week before his death accusing Jones of threatening his life.
Stayer said police pursued the report but didn't find enough evidence to charge Jones.
Smith, a high school junior, had just recorded his second rap album and hoped to be a professional musician, family members said.
Jones was serving eight years probation at the time of the shooting on drug and deadly conduct charges, according to Tarrant County criminal court records.

The man who authorities say killed D12 rapper Proof in defense of another man was sentenced Thursday to time served and a $2,000 fine for weapons violations.
A jury last month convicted Mario Etheridge of carrying a concealed weapon and discharging a firearm inside of Detroit's CCC nightclub, when an argument over a pool game escalated into gunfire.
Proof, born Deshaun Holton, and another man, Keith Bender, were both killed.
Wayne County Circuit Judge Vera Massey Jones sentenced Etheridge to time served for the concealed weapon charge, and levied a $2,000 fine for firing a gun inside a building.
Authorities say Etheridge shot and killed Proof, after Proof fatally shot Etheridge's cousin, Bender. Etheridge later turned himself in to police.
Prosecutors determined Etheridge acted lawfully in defense of Bender when he shot Proof, and that he had shot twice at the ceiling in an effort to stop Proof, before aiming the gun at him.
Proof, 32, was a member of the rap group D12, and was a close friend of Grammy- and Oscar-winning rapper Eminem, who spoke at his funeral.
