Man, I saw the first two X-Men movies, and I gotta say that I'm eager to see a third. Now I heard that Phoenix is going to be the bad chick in the movie, and I'm hoping that either Magneto or Professor X dies so that way Wolverine can take over the lead, and I hope that some of the other X-Men such as Shadowcat and Gambit get more air-time in the movie.

I'm a little peeved that they got rid of Alan Cumming. He made the 2nd movie good, as his portrayal was perfect. Cyclops and Storm need more character development. Juggarnaut and Gambit would be cool. Dont care for beast or Angel. This has the potential to be decent, or horrible.

I didn't realize this, but Hugh Jackman is producing X3. Also announced for 2007, he's producing: Wolverine.

Okay. Things are heating up now. Filming is nearly done and we should expect to see a trailer soon. Latest word is that Professor X dies from a virus. Same virus that Stryfe unleashed on mutantkind? Maybe.....But it can't be him because Cyclops and Jean Grey both die in this one, so no Cable or Stryfe. Yes, I know Jean Grey wasn't their mother blah blah blah...God, I'm such a fucking geek. I just want Mr. Sinister in X4. Is that too much to ask? Tom Cruise will do nicely. But as Halle Berry has said to have claimed, this film is the big finale. Bah!

Hugh f'n Jackman is doing this?! Hoo boy, this could make or break his career as a director. But if anyone can do it, it's the guy who plays Wolverine.

Judging from the trailer, it looks like it might be pretty decent, it looks like it might be a lil too much goin on though.

What did everyone think of the movie?
Personally, i thought it was a big let down. Just seemed to fight scenes over and over again. I hated and i mean HATED that they killed off most of the characters.
In fact, i wasn't too high on the storyline, i would have preffered it to simply be about the Phoenix. Bret Ratner screwed this film up.

The director didn't screw the film up, the writers did. It was a horrible mess of a movie, X2: X-Men United > X-Men > X3: The Last Stand. I saw this on Friday and was pissed when I left the movie, it was just really bad. The action scenes were alright but there was no character development and a bunch of deaths, cures and other non-sense that wasn't needed. I think this is the final X-Men movie and the Wolverine movie hopefully will be way better than this piece of garbage. I'm assuming Toad & Sabretooth died in the first movie, which is a shame.

I just wanted to point out that there's an extra scene after the credits. In case you live in a cave and haven't seen it yet, I'll do a spoileresque tag. Scroll over to read what happens. You know that bit where X is teaching his class? On the TV it shows that hospital scene and he talks about putting someone else's mind into that body...
Well after the credits have been, the scene cuts to that place. A nurse (Moira?) comes in. Then X's voice says "hello". 'Twas pretty cool.

X2 was great.
I havent watched X3 yet. Going to soon.
Everybody keeps saying the very very end, and the pre-credit ending lead the possibilty open to another movie. There is the possiblity for an X4, from what I read.
If not, I guess Wolverine will pick up where this one left off. I'd say Stewart would've hop on any more movies, so they put him in another body.

I haven't seen X-3 yet but I want to. And I have heard the same about the end credits. Over at Lop someone posted a link to the scene from after the credits about a certain chess piece.
And after this weekends box-office, there will be a X-4. The only thing is that it will be a long time coming. I think Marvel is set on having a Wolverine solo movie before they do a X-4. Which will be kickass. If anyone deserves to have their own movie its Wolverine. I just hope it doesn't end up being anything like Electra.

Actually the chess piece thing is the scene BEFORE the credits but seriously the after the credits thing is something else. I didn't stay after the credits so I didn't see, but its supposed to hint at something.
