In any event, given the four teams left, I am officially going with the Carolina Panthers v. Pittsburgh Steelers for the Big One in Motown. That's what I'm talkin' about. Panthers win that 25-21.

I laughed my black ass off when that football swayed right and didn't even come close to the uprights. Is it me, or have the kickers really been fuckin up this season

I laughed my ass off at Vanderjerk about that kick. Then I shouted at my TV, and I quote:
"VANDERJACT, YOU SUCK!!!"
That is how his name is spelled, right? And yeah, the Kickers need to get their heads on straight.

This was the same man who insulted Manning after last years playoff loss. I REALLY hate kickers.

You know why I don't like the Broncos? Todd Sauerbrun. He's a chump and a bitch.

This was the same man who insulted Manning after last years playoff loss. I REALLY hate kickers. Funny enough, Manning chose not to return the cheapshot during the post-game interview. Instead he blamed his front line for not protecting his ass. And yes Herc, kickers are slacking more than ever thios year, especially when the game is on the line. And Blade, I think the Panthers just may pull it off this year. If the Carolina Panthers do win, it should prove to the Philadelphia Eagles that a team can have a losing season following a Superbowl run, and yet, get it together and make another run.

Wait. You're talking about the Eagles. The only thing they can prove is that they can't win a Super Bowl even if they had the NFC All-Star team.
But the Panthers, they are probably the most compltete team in the NFL right now. They've been having some RB problems, but hopefully Nick Goings, the team's third-string RB, should be able to carry the running game. I think they could also give the ball to the fullback (whose name escapes me) and pick up some yards. As for receiving, if there was an award for third-string WRs, Kerry Colbert would win it every season. The guy just never seems to miss a clutch catch. And Steve Smith? What can't be said about the man that hasn't already been said. On the defense, Julius Peppers has been lethal, as have the Linebacks and Safeties, especially Mike Minter. Their Special Teams are also very dangerous. John Kasay may not have too many years left, but he's still playing like he's playing like a Hall of Famer. If they can stay away from the ominous Sports Illustrated Curse, they stand a considerable chance.
BTW, the Sports Illustrated Curse is that whoever is on the cover of Sports Illustrated before the Super Bowl, their team loses. The Panthers were on the cover the last time they made it to the dance, and we all know the result of that game.

Pittsburgh seems like a team of destiny.
Look at what happened in the past six weeks. With the Steelers needing help to make the playoffs, the Chargers obliged by blowing a home game to Miami, then the Chiefs couldn't tackle Tiki Barber in the Meadowlands. So Pittsburgh ran the slate against some weak teams and grabbed the sixth seed. Heading to Cincy for Round 1, they caught a break two plays into the game when Cincy's franchise quarterback blew out his knee in 34 places, leading to a full dose of the Jon Kitna Experience. Then their nemesis (New England) self-destructed in Denver in Round 2, one night before the Steelers played in Indianapolis. With the door wide open now, they whupped the Colts for three quarters, nearly blew a big lead after a bogus call, finally clinched the game, watched in horror as the Bettis Fumble happened, and then Nick Harper cut right into Roethlisberger when he could have taken it outside for the game-winning touchdown. Yet another bullet dodged. Then Manning and Vanderjagt took care of the rest.
After all of that ... do you really think the Steelers aren't going to the Super Bowl? From a karma standpoint, the Palmer/Pats/Harper trifecta doesn't feel much different than the Tuck Rule, the Music City Miracle or anything else of that ilk. They're also the only team in the Final Four that can run the ball, stop the run, pressure the passer, break a big play and make something happen on special teams. They're bringing everything to the table. That's the thing about karma in the playoffs -- catch a few breaks and suddenly a very good team turns into a great one. This Steelers team looks like they're peaking at the right time. At the very least, this Denver matchup feels like a three-point game, and I trust Roethlisberger a helluva lot more than I trust Jake the Snake. That's why I'm taking the Steelers +3.5 over the Broncos.

I thought the Eagles were a team of destiny last year, but look what happened.
See what I did there, I implied the Steelers have absolutely no chance.
