I think he should be in the hall. But that may be bias as I am a big McGwire fan.

Hell no. No hall for Big Mac. I think the fans and voters are going to make him the first example of the Steroid generation (other than Jose Canseco, whose numbers are barely better than MacGuire's) and the players who use/d steroids, so I think that not only will Mac not go, things are already bleak for Barry Bonds, WHEN and IF he's ever nominated.
Cal deserved it every damn bit. Did he ever get a world championship? Because the ironman award is good, but it's no World Series Title. Gwynn, I thought he should've been in last year.

With the recent investigation and reports that the baseballs used in 1997 thru 2001 were hollowed out, couple with the way McGwire tripled in size during his "record-breaking" season, then no. McGwire blew up like a water balloon: He retained water beneath his chin and in his triceps, a definite sign of steroid use. (Decadurabolin and anandrol to be exact.) But if they're gonna let Bonds slide, then may as well let McGwire. Another fucking cracker duped the world.

If I was casting a vote for the hall of fame, I would put McGwire on the ballot. First off there is only accusations of steroid use. Did he ever once fail a steroid test? No he didn't. Plus he never came outright and admitted to taking them like his fellow Bash Brother Jose did. But even if he was doing steroids, there wasn't a rule against the use of them at that time. In fact Baseball pretty much was encouraging it. They knew fans loved the long ball. Why do you think Baseball stadiums were getting smaller and the baseballs were being winded up differently.
McGwire was playing under the rules that were established at the time. Its not fair to have him subject to rules that were implicated after his retirement. Plus who here wasn't watching the tv that summer when him and Sosa were battling it out for the single season home run crown? I say it is ok to leave him off this years ballot as a form of protest, but next year say Yes to McGwire for the hall of fame.

He very well may have been on the juice. But like I said, show me where he failed a steroids test anytime during his playing career. Also show me where in the rulebook during his time as a ball player, where steroids were a banned substance. Like I said, he was playing within the rules established during the time that he took the field. He shouldn't be made a scapegoat for the whole steroids era. Leave that for when Bonds finally hangs them up.

he was playing within the rules of the game yes, BUT what about people who were not juiced and still played a fantasic game, Yes he done nothing wrong AT THE TIME, but in the overall scope of things he gained an unfair advatage

You care more about Cricket than Baseball. Your opinions don't count, Cactus.
I stand by what I said when I said that he is going to be the first fall guy for the Steroid Generation of baseball. True, at the time he may not have done anything illegal, but he still did it, and now the fans are going to make sure that the "Cheaters never prosper" prophecy comes to pass.
