Now I know that some of you guys aren't F1 fans and I know that it isn't a F1 forum but I thought that my story will give to a lot of contribution to this board and it will also show what a great weekend I had too. I am waiting for the pics to come as other people took pics of me.
Thursday: Me and my mum left the house at 10am in the morning to put everything in the car. We went to my friends house to drop off my sister's suitcase as she was sleeping over there for the Weekend. After that we left London. We stopped for lunch at a service station in Oxford before we left off for Towster which was where we were staying in a Bed and Breakfast place. We didn't do much apart from putting our clothes away and eat dinner
Friday: We got up at 7am just to eat breakfast. Once we had something to eat. we got our things together and left for Silverstone circuit. There wasn't many cars there today. Once we got into the circuit we looked around the merchandise stands because there isn't many people buying things on Friday. I brought a Jenson Button hat. We then sat in our seats for Free Practice one of Formula One , but first I was meeting up with fellow Jenson Button fans from the forum and finally they found me first and we chatted a bit saying who was which. I was sitting at Pit's Straight B. I thought it was fantistic.
I had some lunch meeting up with my mum to get it. After that Free Practice 2 started sitting in Luffield A with the JBHQ members again, but Katie said that Jenson won't be doing free practice 2 because of his back problem he had since US Grand Prix so I didn't really cheer for anyone but Anthony Davidson, David Coulthard and Fernando Alonso. It was already a bad start to Silverstone for Jenson. I was hoping that he will be qualifying tomorrow. We walked out of the track to take a pic of Jenson's car together with all of the JBHQ members from the forum.
Saturday: This time because my mum had her 8 o' clock dream. She got me up but when me and my mum looked at the clock. It was 5 O' clock in the morning so we got things sorted out better this time. After we had Breakfast. We set off to the circuit again but this time it was real bad traffic. It took us almost 2 hours to get the circuit because there was loads of cars just waiting to get into the circuit. All I was thinking about was wondering if Jenson Button will be able to do qualifying today? We got there in the end, Got into the circuit. I heard good news from the large screen that Jenson Button was going to be in the British Grand Prix in quli and the race. I was very happy when I heard the news. After that we went straight to Pit's straight B to meet up with JBHQ again and sat with them to watch Free Practice 3.
Jenson Button seemed to be doing well today. We also got the chance to watch Porche Supercup qualifying. Was alright and also watched GP2 Qualifying as well. We watched F1 Qualifying and poor old Jenson had traffic and had yellow flags waved at him that he qualified in 18th place. Then I went off with one JBHQ member back to there JBHQ camp place waiting for the Honda T.V people to arrive. while we were waiting. We were chatting non stop to each other about just random stuff. They disappointed us so I left with Katie and Alison. Together we walked into the track again to meet up with my mum. My mum won a dancing competition and she won a Red Arrows hat, Red Arrows book and a leaflet for free tickets to a race of your choice for a race at Silverstone. I chose British Superbikes. We went back to our Bed and Breakfast place and ate our dinner and then went to sleep
Sunday: After we had our breakfast. We left the Bed and Breakfast place to get the park and ride buses at Towster race course (Horse racing). We got the bus and we weren't in much traffic today because the bus took a short cut to the circuit. We got into the Circuit and already going to our seats at Luffield B where me and my Mum always sit on Sunday's. We watched all the races today except The Historic Cars race. Jenson Button finished in 10th place as I only found out today and Kimi Raikkonen won the race with Fernando Alonso 2nd place and one of the drivers I really dislike Lewis Hamilton finished in 3rd place.
We were waiting to get into the Grand Prix Party. My Mum had a bad feeling that we weren't going to meet up with JBHQ and weren't going to meet Jenson Button, but I knew that somehow we would. I phoned them up and they said they phone me back when they got to the Grand Prix Party. I saw the JBHQ flag so I ran to meet them up and Lawrence was phoning me up when I was already behind him. When he saw me he hanged up of his mobile. We went to the back of the stage of the Grand Prix Party to see if we can meet Jenson Button. We saw both him and Jules (Jenson's Manager) in the car together. They gave us a wave and Jules was trying to get us in at first but she couldn't so we all waited for her to come back. While we were waiting. I saw Mark Webber in his car signing autographs. I managed to get his autograph and I said Thank you to him. I also saw David Coulthard, Anthony Davidson and Taktoma Sato in the car. Jenson Button was on the stage at the time when we saw David Coulthard in the car.
Then when Jenson got off stage. Jules finally got us in. Alison was in charge of letting us JBHQ members in while people that weren't were trying to get in. Luckily things were alright after that. My dream came true when Jenson came up to me, shacked my hand and said Hello how are you. I said hello back and I also said fine thanks. I was the first one to get Jenson to sign something and I got him to sign my picture I brought on Friday. After we all got something signed. We got together and had a group picture together with Jenson. He had to rush off and we all said thanks to Jules and Jenson while they were getting in the car for taking there time out to see us. Then Me and My Mum went off to get something for dinner. Then we got back on the Park and Ride buses back to Towster. Me and My Mum went home on Monday.
That was my long story of my best weekend I ever had in a long time. Pics will come as soon as I get them.
