BUY:
Dragon Quest VIII (PS2)
Solid RPG, not as good as Radiata Stories gameplay-wise, but definitely a great story.

Suggestions from me... I've even toyed with doing a column/game review and I may do it this year.
Gun (better than I expected, and the story wasn't bad)
Mario Party (because its damn fun... for more than 1 person)
Need for Speed: Most Wanted (actually a more challenging game, and it has more of a mission based style. X amount of race wins/bounty to get to next person on the list)
Dragon Quest VIII (I usually kick ass in these kinds of games and I've barely made it anywhere so far.. its a bit of a challenge)
Super Mario Strikers (a little different from your average soccer game)
From Russia with Love (Sean Connery voice over, plus a better than usual Bond game= fun times)

Resident Evil 4.
Was never really a big fan of the series. But this game kicks ass. It's more of an action game rather than horror. The Boss's are very fun to play and you have to use diffrent methods to defeat each one, Overall a great game!

^Agreed
Mario Kart DS is really fun also. Wifi kicks major ass, I raced a guy with 500 wins and 0 losses. Wow, people are obsessed with some games.

I personally recommend Mario & Luigi: Partners In Time for the DS. It's funny as hell.

I find myself indulging in many of the retro games that I learned to play when I was a wee little boy. Among them are: Ms. Pac-Manand Donkey KongI'm not really an X=Box guy as I prefer to stick with my Playstations, and both these games are offered by Sony. So for all you oldheads out there that actually remember when these games came into existence, give them a try for the sake of nostalgia.

This is gonna sound real lame, but try a Harvest Moon game. Very calming. Be a farmer. Get girls. Look like a moron by playing in public. However, it really is quite addictive.

The Executioner's Game recommamendations Dragon quest VIII - Reaper isn't as good as this game Suikoden Tactics - I love the suikoden series this ones probally like ff tactics. NHL 2K6 - Go Leafs Go! i mean good hockey. Smackdown vs Raw - Gm Mode is actually hard.

Recommendation: The Legend of Zelda Majora's Mask. Solid gameplay, outstanding story, many sidequests, awesome. It's for the N64, but it's nice to go old school again. In the game, there's a time limit of three days, but don't worry, you can make time go slow, and you can also turn back aswell to the first day. When you turn back time, you lose the rupees, arrows, bombs etc., but you can collect it easily again anyways. It's the sequel to OoT, so you know it has to be good. It's shit at first, but once you get into it, it's really fun.

Here's some more.
Need For Speed: Most Wanted: Crazy racing game. Mario Party (Insert number here): AIN'T NO PARTY LIKE A MARIO PARTY 'CAUSE A MARIO PARTY DON'T STOP! Final Fantasy VII: What reason do you need? Idiots. Halo 2: Bombastic storyline. Oh, and there's that online play thing.

Also, I haven't played it yet, but The Godfather game is bound to be all kinds of uber cool. Can't wait to buy that one.

Its not available in Canada maybe, but I've had the Godfather for the better part of the week and yes its all kinds of fuckin sweet. Go out and buy it... buy the regular version or the special edition... but just buy the fucking game and enjoy the Godfather in a whole new... although familiar light.
