Got MK:A... The cast is fucking incredible! well...of course it is, how could it not be. The only thing I don't like is the 2 fighting styles per charater, but I can understand that.
haven't started Konquest due to time, but I think anyone will be in love with Kreate-a-fighter once the delve into the coin load. You will need a massive ammount of coins to unlock the nice stuff available includine fatalites, etc. but after you delve in, its freaking fantastic.
Major Potential, and I can't wait for this weekend when I have more time..

I love Frost's ending in Arcade mode.
!!SPOILER!!
In Frost's ending, she steals Sub-Zero's Dragon Medallion, this time able to control its power, and raises an army of undead cryomancers and turns the realms into frozen wastelands.

Well for the last 2 days I've enjoyed playing this game. Day 1 was Konquest Mode... and oddly enough I didn't complete it, I was busy looking for shit. Although I have to say that its not as cool as the last games Konquest which was more a free roam, this one seems to just be on a track, but the fighting is more frequent.
Fatalities don't seem as fun anymore, unless I'm missing it, because they're all relatively the same, just in different punch/kick combos. Farthest I got on one was about 7 hits but then I didn't finish after ripping the arms off, I was highly dissapointed. So far I've heard the ending stories for
Onaga, Meat, Frost, Daegon, Moloch, and Drahmin.
By the way, anybody know the code for the "?" in the Krypt?

HUGE SPOILER ALERT, REAPER! If you do not want to know, do not highlight.
The ? in the Krypt is a secret ending unlocked when you beat the Arcade mode with all the characters, including Meat, Blaze, Daegon, Taven and the KAK. Upon beating it, you'll unlock a canon ending video. This depcits the REAL ending.
Anyway, I beat Konquest, and now I'm going back to get the artifacts I missed. Included in them are Nightwolf's Tomahawk, Kano's Mask and Sub-Zero's medallion. You'll want to check GameFAQs for a full list. MKA should be the first game on the main page.
Oh, and the game is INCREDIBLE! I've never played as certain characters (Shang Tsung, Quan Chi, Shinnok and Kai, among others), and the gameplay is real tight. Great arenas, too. I wish they'd brought back the Pit II, Deadpool and Living Forest, though. And maybe left out the Falling Cliffs. Motor Kombat is suprisingly fun.

Well if you really think about it, Shao Khan's arena... or whatever its given name is, has all of the attributes of The pit and the dead pool... I felt that the arenas were lacking quite a bit. Not much going on in a few of them and they look bland.
In Konquest I beat Konquest with something lik 46 of 60 items... and I know all the ones I missed are at the end...dammit. So I guess the only character I'm missing is Blaze, but meh... eventually. I still want to know what the fuckin code is for the "?" in the Krypt, but I bet thats what you get when you get 60 out of 60.(EDIT: NEVERMIND)
I'm still quite pissed about the lack of personal fatalities amongst the characters (again, unless I'm missing something), but my new record is a 9 hit fatality. Which was pretty simple to do if you do the ripping of the body parts first and the strikes second..with the final blow. Double tap a direction and triangle in all directions, repeat with the square button and then finish it off, thats 9, but I'm sure theres a bigger number to get.
EDITv.2: I just got a 10 or Extreme Fatality... but I only ripped off the one arm, perhaps I can try that again and get both?.... who knows.

On that Fatality thing, the only ones I've ever managed to do was I ripped Jade's leg muscles out and I ripped Tanya's arms off.
Speaking of that, IGN rated Jax's MK2 Arm Rip Fatality to the Top Ten Goriest Moves Ever.

I thought that was one of the shittiest ones ever done to be honest.
I don't recall removing leg muscles, but maybe its done with one of the Bigger guys... Goro, Moloch, etc.
The usual order I do is, 1: lung/heart, 2: arm rip, 3: midsection organ rip, 4: brain, 5: knee to the head, 6: kick to the gut, 7: punch to the gut, 8: spin kick, 9: spin kick...10: finisher. Extreme Fatality

More like...
BRUTALITY.

Post by Reaper on Oct 15, 2006 5:25:28 GMT 1
Yeah thats what they used to be called. But Brutal fatality is at 5 or 6. If you just give a straight kill its a fatality, 2 is deadly, 3 I don't Know, 4 is Mortal, 5 is Brutal, 6, 7, 8, 9 I forgot because I only got em like 1 time and 10 is Extreme

No, no Animalities, Hara-Kiris or Friendships.
And I love Tetris.

Hara-Kiris were gay in my opinion... I mean the guy is floating in almost pure dead-ness but he can still cut his head off? Not for me...
Tetris is amazing...plus it's everywhere. Phones,computers,gamboys,consoles,etc.....

Games I've purchased or played recently that were grand....
Bully: Its basically a GTA style game, except you're a troubled kid that wants to take over this new school that is being forced upon you by your mother and brand new step father.
Destroy All Humans 2: Its got some funny stuff about it and a few new powers that are cool to use.
Marvel Ultimate Alliance: Its like X-Men Legends 1 and 2, but with different Marvel characters. And the graphic work on it is really good.
Family Guy: while not a graphic masterpiece...or really hard to learn... or even worthy of any sort or award... this game is hilarious in the typical Family Guy way. Its an easy to pick up game with hilarity weaved into it.

Bully looks good... I've been looking at that for about 3 years, and it still makes me want to go out and buy it.
The first Destroy All Humans was decent.. They had some pretty cool technology for an alien game based in the 20's(?) such as the anal probe and the traditional zapper here and there. The UFO was pretty cool feature to blow shit up with as well.
Family Guy games looks appealing. I know I liked Simpsons Hit and Run, and with some likewise quirky minds working together I can't say I'd dismiss it..
Gears of War comes out fairly soon. T me it doesn't look AS good as the reviews boast but it definitley looks worth a try. Along with that the Nintendo Wii also tickles my fancy..

Marvel Ultimate Alliance: Its like X-Men Legends 1 and 2, but with different Marvel characters. And the graphic work on it is really good. . Tell me more about this Ultimate Aliance. Is it worth the $50? I have seen commercials on tv and its got me intrested. Please tell me that Glaxaticus isn't as small as they show him on those commercials. Last time I picked up a Fantastic Four comic he was bigger then Earth.

Actually, Gears Of War was made fairly close to where I live. I think it was, like, a county over, so if it's a hit, NC is going to be on the map as a big video game-producing state in the U.S.

For those who own a DS, I highly recommend Phoenix Wright: Ace Attorney.
Shit is rather challenging.

Need For Speed: Carbon. Great racing title. Now it's not required to get into police chases to proceed with the storyline. And the racers are awesome. The actor who played Darius played the asshole real good; I wanted to kick the shit out of him during the Canyon Duel. Kenji and Wolf were good racers too. I beat Wolf in a Canyon Duel by overtaking him. He had a Lamborghini Murcielago...and I had a Tier 2 Lotus Elise. Pitiful. Angie is stupid.

RAW v. Smackdown! comes out tomorrow. I saw a preview and was amazed at how much bigger Edge appeared on the video game versus real life. The man's a stick.
