Anyway, apart from the Croatia/Switzerland game, the tournament has been good thus far. It was an excellent match between France and England. Very entertaining.

Well, the Everton board of directors worst nightmare happened last night.
Im delighted Rooney scored 2 (yes the 2nd one has been given to him by UEFA) and it was a hell of a win for us to kick start the competition for England.
I can swear that I heard Bill Kenwright saying
"May I start the bidding at £40 million!"

Yes we beat the swiss 3-0 but it was NOT a good team performance :
Scholes = it was like he was not on the pitch
Beckham = When will he start to tak people on
On the subject of Rooney going I know a lot of evertionians are saying that he wont go but it will basically pull Everton out of their finincial woe.
It also looks like Stevie Gerrard will also be going to Chelski and from what I have seen of theat Arjen Robin guy from the Dutch can I just say a midfield of
Robin Gerrard Lampard Makelele
sounds really frightening
Bang! Bang!

I wont mind Everton selling Rooney as long as Moyes is given at least 80% of the money from it.
I understand that we are £30 million in dbet, but if we are to sell our best player, then Moyes must be given the funds to replace him.
For too long, we have sold our best, only for the manager to be given 5-10% of it to spend "because of the debt"
If we sell Rooney, and we dont give the money to Moyes, then in 2005-6, we WILL be playing in The Championship (the re-named Division 1)

Okay so Greece won I think its safe to lock this thread for, shall we say, 2 years?
See you at the World Cup in Germany 2006
(For our American friends, this is SOCCER, and WORLD champions, means the whole planet, not just beating 16 other AMERICAN teams! ;D)
