Could John Cena v. Hulk Hogan be the potential money match that the WWE is looking for? I just saw Rocky Blaboa today and it got me thinking that the WWE may try and cash in on the idea of the old and battered champ taking on the current, fresh, young blood. What do you think?
The match could be done in the same manner as Rock/Hogan Part I, but only this time there is gold on the line. Regardless of the winner, the match and the surrounding hype would put asses in seats. Tell a brotha what's on your mind.....
PLUS: Rocky running up the Art Museum steps and the Rocky music playing always get me hype!!

Sounds like a good idea at this point. Given Stallone's relationship with Hogan and McMahon's willingness to jump on any bandwagon, I could see thi happening. And as long as Hogan lay down, I'd rather see his tired old ass in the main event than fucking Umaga!

I know it wouldn't be a five-star classic, but the crowd reaction would be off the charts. The noise produced from the life-long loyal fans of Hogan coupled with the Cena-haters/fans would blow the roof off the building. I could easily see the crowd turning on Cena as they always do during the big match. With the crowd rooting for the underdog, hoping the tweener champ will finally get his, you have the potential for one of the highest grossing matches in the history of Wrestlemania.

A Hogan/Cena match does make sense when you think about it. WWE will most likely want to make a big splash with this Wrestlemania. Considering its been 20 years since Hogan/Andre, WWE will want to hype that fact up. Remember earlier in '06 there was talk of a Hogan/Big Show match in remembrance of Wrestlemania 3. What better way to hype the anniversary then to have Hogan challenge for the WWE Championship? That has money match written all over it. The only scary part would be if Hogan would use his creative control to have him win the belt or lay down for Cena? Something that he wouldn't do for a legend like Shawn Michaels.

He didn't lay down for Michaels and he didn't lay down for Orton. There is no way Hogan would job to Cena, especially this being the 20th Anniversary and all. WWE's best bet would be to pull the belt off him at the next PPV ( Backlash) much like they did in 2002 when Hogan beat Hunter for the belt in April and lost it one month later to The Dead Man. EDIT: The most twisted part is that I would actually find myself rooting for John Cena on this one.

If Hogan was to be a part of it, I'd want to see him take on the Big Show but since Show is out maybe have Hogan take on Umaga. I bet they would ruin Umaga's streak on Hogan just like the old days....ahhhh the 80's.
