.......at Wrestlemania 23?
Undertaker v. Edge - Kane made the jump to Smackdown! so it's possible Taker makes the jump to RAW. Undefeated streak v. Undefeated streak. Let's have it.
Undertaker/Kane v. DX - If Taker stays on SD!, he'll probably join forces with Kane and become the DX of Friday Nights. They could run through the roster, much like what Shawn & Hunter are doing, then finally lock up to find out which brand has the better faction.
Chris Benoit v. King BOOKA - for the World Heavyweight Title. They have a good history, good chemistry, and Benoit deserves another run with the title, this time on SD!
Big Dave v. Bobby Lashley - It's the Batista/Lesnar we never got to see. Only Lashley's Black.
Carlito v. Ken Kennedy - The mic work for this would be grand. And both are proven in-ring competitors so the match would be watchable.
John Cena v. Jeff Hardy - I know it's a long shot, but the crowd would root for the Carolinian to win the Big One.

You do know that Taker doesn't have to jump to Raw for this match to happen right? I for one would like to see this match happened. Granted it wouldn't be a 5 star type match but that doesn't matter. I could picture Edge cutting those lbm shoot type promos prior to mania. And if wwe was smart, they would let Edge be the one to give Taker his first lost at mania.

A friend told me that he heard a rumor on a radio show that said Cena will win at Taboo tuesday and will use the monicker of "Champion of Champions". The point being for him to carry it to Mania so we can have a Champion of Champions vs. King of Kings match.
I sincerely hope that doesnt happen.
What I would like is:
WWE Title: Cena (c) vs. HBK (Heel) World: Batista (c) vs. Lashley MITB Ladder Match: Benjamin vs. Nitro vs. Hardy vs. Benoit vs. Chavo vs. Mysterio Undefeated vs. Undefeated: Undertaker vs. Edge
That's all I've got right now. I think Nitro winning the MITB match would be a good push for him, and eventhough they're both heels (or I think they would be), HBK and he coudl have a stellar feud, with HBK pulling the "You're doing exactly what I did, kid. Tag Team, then singles with a hot valet. But, there is only one Heartbreak Kid, and you're nothing more than the next rip-off to come along"
Anywyas, this is what seems to be setting up at the moment.
Hogan vs. Big Show
Undertaker vs. Umaga (I'm sorry, but I think they keep holding Umaga back casue they want to start his push with something big. This is all I could think of. I hope they don't do it, but yeah)
Cena vs. Orton
Edge vs. HHH
Batista vs. Lashley (wins the rumble)
Booker vs. Benoit
that's how I see things at the moment

Okay after Armageddon, here's what i want to see:
WWE TITLE: John Cena Vs. Randy Orton - (I can't think of anything better on Raw, since Cena isn't losing the title. Anyway, this isn't exactly the money match WWE were hoping it would be a few years ago, but it's still a pretty big main event.)
WORLD TITLE: Batista Vs. Edge - (A move to SD! is exactly what Edge needs and there really isn't anyone else for Batista to face. There should be some sort of added stipulation to his match, like streetfight or hardcore.)
ECW TITLE: Lashley Vs. Test Vs. CM Punk - (Test is there just because Lashley and Punk need to remain face and the match needs a heel.)
MONEY IN THE BANK: Rob Van Dam Vs. Sabu Vs. Carlito Vs. Kenny Dykstra [Or Johnny Jeter if he comes back to Raw] Vs. Chavo Guerrero Vs. Ken Kennedy - (No storyline really needed, but these 6 can put on a good match, definitely better than last year's match. Johnny Jeter is more athletic than Kenny, so he would be a better fit for this IMO, but Kenny is more likely to be put into it.)
US TITLE: Chris Benoit Vs. Gregory Helms - (Benoit should have a mammoth run with this title. Really make it mean something. Helms should still be cruiser champ too. He could simply say he's gone through all the cruisers, and he wants another title. This could be awesome.)
IC TITLE: Johnny Nitro Vs. Mick Foley - (In some sort of hardcore stipulation. Melina fired Mick, kinda, so this can just stem off from that. Mick can make Nitro a big star, just like he did for Orton. This would be so much better than Mick Vs. Vince.)
WWE TAG TEAM TITLES & WORLD TAG TITLES UNIFICATION: Paul London & Brian Kendrick Vs. Shelton Benjamin & Charlie Hass Vs. The Hardy Boyz - (This could be huge and could really make the tag team situation much more exciting. The titles should be unified and sent to SD! so this match would be perfect. It could be a show stealer. Shelton & Hass would go in as World Tag Champs, and London & Kendrick would continue to be WWE TAG Champs. The Hardyz would naturally be involved for being such a successful team.)
INTERPROMIONAL MATCH: DX Vs. Bros of Destruction - (This is something i really want to see. I think it could be a huge draw, and PPV buys would be huge. Raw's mega team versus SD!'s mega team. With Taker's streak on the line, it could be awesome.)
It's nice to dream. Obviously, none of this will happen, but it would be awesome if it did.

The only one I want to see at WM is Bobby Lashley vs. Batista. I get the feeling that'd be a real even match.

Yes, evenly shit But seriously, Goldberg vs Brock was bad. This has the potential to be even worse. I think Aladdin got it spot on though with his list. Although I wouldn't say "No" to Stone Cold vs Hulk Hogan (only if Hogan lay down for him though - If Hogan wins another "Legends" match, I think I'd have a aneursym.

Yes, evenly shit But seriously, Goldberg vs Brock was bad. This has the potential to be even worse. But that was mostly because they were both leaving right after that, they probably didn't give a fuck tacking on the crowd's reaction, which was the only saving grace for all of that.

True. But seeing as Batista or Lashley can't carry a match to save their lives, I doubt we'd see a match of the minute cantidate, let alone year.

Although I wouldn't say "No" to Stone Cold vs Hulk Hogan (only if Hogan lay down for him though - If Hogan wins another "Legends" match, I think I'd have a aneursym. Of course. Stone Cold would have to get the win. Not Hogan. Stone Cold is a bigger name the Hogan, so he would deserve it more. Austin is younger and has a much more realistic move set. I thought it was bullshit that Hogan beat HBK. Hogan was around for like 10% of the build up for the match. HBK turned heel, something he didn't want to do, and was absolutely OUTSTANDING that month. HBK was younger, fitter and of course much better a worker, so Hogan winning was just absurd.

With the way things are shaping up, with some good "insider" info , Wrestlemania 23 could go a little something like this: WWE ChampionshipJohn Cena (c) v. Randy Orton World Championship v. Undefeated StreakBatista (c) v. The Undertaker ECW ChampionshipBobby Lashley v. RVD Last Man StandingHBK v. Edge Nostalgia MatchHulk Hogan v. The Great Khali Grudge MatchRey Mysterio v. Chavo Guererro Triple Threat: Tables, Ladders, & ChairsLondon/Kendrick v. MNM v. Hardy Boyz Money In the Bank III

....rather, my new Mania 23 card would go a little something like this:
WWE Champion John Cena v. Randy Orton v. Edge World Champion Batista v. The Undertaker Hulk Hogan v. The Great Khali Shawn Michaels w/ Donald Trump v. King Booker w/Mr. McMahon Money In the Bank featuring Mr. Kennedy.

Post by Keith Williams on Jan 29, 2007 3:07:11 GMT 1
Now if I was going to book Wrestlemania this is the card I would more then likely have:
WWE CHAMPIONSHIP John Cena(c) vs Randy Orton vs Edge
WORLD CHAMPIONSHIP Batista (c) vs Undertaker
ECW CHAMPIONSHIP Lashley(c) vs CM Punk
RAW VS SMACKDOWN[/b] Shawn Michaels vs Mr. Kennedy
WWE WOMANS CHAMPIONSHIP[/b] Mickie James(c) vs Melina
Hulk Hogan vs The Big Show
TLC[/b] The Worlds Greatest Tag Team vs MNM vs The Hardys
MONEY IN THE BANK III[/b] Carlito vs Super Crazy vs Kane vs MVP vs Test vs Sandman
Now I know that I didn't include RVD in this card. That is cause I am not sure if RVD will still be around come wrestlemania. His contract is due to expire soon and from what I have heard, he won't resign with WWE.

That's a decent card, Keith but last night's show was proof that the WWE is a sinking ship.
I may not even watch Mania this time around.

Then you better hope that he faces either Batistia or Lashley. Cause if he faces John "Superman" Cena there is no way he is walking out of Mania with the title.

If the rumours are true and this is Taker's last Mania, it would be fitting for him (and the right thing) if he walked out champion and undefeated streak intact. If he loses it to one of a trio of hacks such as Batista, Cena or Lashley, then WWE will die in the eyes of a good portion of their fans. Personally, I think it's going to be Batista. Cena vs HBK seems like a good bet as well. Maybe throw in Edge vs Orton to cover them two as well.

Man, if I had a nickel of coke for everytime the rumors said this would be Taker's last Mania, I'd have an empire rivalring Tony Montana's. Taker is performing as well as ever; but more importantly, he's a draw. As is John Cena. The guy who rakes in the cash, the guy who is most marketable, is the one who walks with the title. As Keith stated earlier, if it's Cena/Taker, Taker's getting his first loss as Cena is the company's top seat-filler.

Taker/Batista for sure. No doubt about it.
Batista apparently was booked to win this when they first decided on this match-up, but seeing as they obviously know themselves just how bad he's gotten, I'm praying they've change their minds.
I don't necessarily have a problem with Taker's streak coming to an end (even though i'd rather they kept it alive) but if they are going to do it let someone who has actually proven themselves worthy do it and who could gain a lot from it. Don't give that honour to the shittiest champion in SD! history (Rey could at least wrestle). At WM21 when he faced Orton was a good place to do it, as Orton would have benefitted greatly from the win (but once again I'm glad the streak is still alive).
The people I wouldn't mind breaking his streak are:
CM Punk (as if you couldn't guess I'd say that) Carlito Shelton Benjamin Edge (streak vs. streak) Johnny Nitro Either of the Hardyz Helms Lashley Alpha Male Elijah Burke
