Taker will never lose at Wrestlemania. But I could see Kennedy winning the briefcase and cashing in sometime this summer. With WWE's announcement that the B-ppv's will feature stars from all three rosters, I can see him cashing in sooner rather than later. But I can't help but remember than the previous two MITB winners, Edge and RVD, have had shit title runs when they cashed in. Hopefully, that isn't the case this time around.

Hopefully someone other than Kennedy wins.

Well lets go down the list of people in the match and see if they have a chance of winning MITB 3
Edge-Honestly I don't see his wrestlemania streak continuing. I think something is gonna happen during the match to really spark the Edge vs Orton feud. More then likely this feud could stretch thru the summer and ending in a big money match at Summerslam
King Booker- He'll stay in the main event scene over at Smackdown, but I don't see wwe giving him the win. He is already over with the whole King gimmick, and has won the belt already. I think they will want someone new with that contract
CM Punk- The dark horse of all 6 competitors. If they want to give him a test run as a champ over at ECW then he could walk away with the win here. But if the winner of the match challenges the smackdown or raw champ, then CM won't walk away with the contract.
Jeff Hardy-Still don't see him as world champion material. Has had good runs as the IC champ. But hasn't done anything since his return that makes me think main eventer.
Finlay-He's in his 40's. Normally the wwe doesn't like their champions to be that old. He have a good showing, but won't win the contract.
Matt Hardy-JBL has been harping on him being a main event player, but I say not yet. I could see him feuding with MVP over the United States title this summer. Not what you want to see from a money in the bank winner
Mr. Kennedy-The guy I believe has the best shot out of all of them to win the contract. He is the future of sports entertainment. He had his baptism of fire with his feud with the Undertaker. I can see Mr. Kennedy having a successful run with a world title.
Randy Orton-See Edge
It might not be scientific, but those are just my gut feelings on each of the guys in that match. I could be wrong and someone like Jeff or Matt could walk out with the belt, or the wwe could go against their norm and award the contract to Finlay. But i just don't think they want to saddle Booker with 2 gimmicks. The King of the Ring and money in the bank winner.
I think Mr. Kennedy could take winning the MITB and run with it. I could see some stellar promos from him, with using the briefcase as a prop.

Finlay-He's in his 40's. Normally the wwe doesn't like their champions to be that old. He have a good showing, but won't win the contract. David Batista, Shawn Michaels, and the Undertaker are in their early to mid forties. So that statement is rendered "null and void." [/Soul Reaper]

Nice Reaper impersonation you have there E2. Keep it up and soon people might start calling you Reaper Jr...
But seriously after looking at Finlay's profile at Obsessed with Wrestling, turns out that Finlay turns 49 this year. So that rules out a title run for him. Cause if Finlay gets a run with a title, then Ric Flair should get one last run before he retires, which i predict will be either near the end of this year or by the middle of next year.

That makes no sense, whatsoever, but whatever. Why does Flair need another title run?? What would be the point? Just get World Title # 17?? It makes no sense. That's just as asinine as Triple H losing the title and having it vacated, only to win it back weeks later to claim number 10. Finlay, on the other hand, has proven himself in the ring and the little green midget is certainly entertainment. Again, HBK and Taker, who look like they will be World Champions in less than two weeks, are in their forties and have held multiple World titles. You still haven't validated your point on why a fortysomething man cannot hold a WWE World Title.

I think Finlay is class, but I don't see him as a main eventer. Or at least, I don't see the WWE audience accepting him as a main eventer. I would be fine with him winning title based on his talent.
I don't think he's over enough with the fans, and he just doesn't have "it".

There have been worse World Champions who didn't have "it". Triple H was a pud during his first few title reigns. He was stale as dry cornbread in the desert. WWE pumped every ounce of energy into his character and he was still a flop. It took multiple attempts coupled with feud with Mick Foley and The Rock to finally get him "over."
I could see Finlay doing the JBL heel run procedure. He'd get the title and run with it until people begin to hate him for real. It would generate fan electricity and help put someone over at the same time. I mean John Cena had momentum, but he went over even more by beating JBL and ending a title run that seemed to go on forever. Get Finlay a good, shit-talking manager like Daivari and it's good to go.

I actually hated JBL first, then i started to love him.
Finlay won't get a big uproar if he wins the title, because he is talented. JBL wasn't at the time, or at least he didn't show it.

Back in the day as "Justin Hawk Bradshaw" or with Farooq in the APA, JBL was half decent as he would have a tag team partner to cover up the little things Vince didn't want us to see. As JBL the Millionaire, his wrestling skills stank up the ring, but his ability to rile a crowd by shooting his mouth off was gold, and thus the long run. It proved damaging in the end though, as that long run nearly destroyed his back and he's been relagated to carrying Michale Cole on Friday Night's at the table.

Well granted Finlay is talented enough to have a run with the belt, I just am trying to think like Vince on this one. When Vince puts the world title on a guy, he is investing in this guy. He is putting up big bucks to promote the champ. Be it TV time, magazine time, promotional tours, house sales, ppv's, merchandising etc etc. If you were Vince which would bring in the most money from your investment, a younger wrestler that appeals to the younger crowd, that people will be more incline to spend money on to go see at a house show, watch week in and week out on tv and spend alot on their merchandise, or a guy that is pushing 49. Might not wrestle too much longer, and doesn't appeal to a mass audience even though he may be more talented then the younger wrestler.
The best example of this is John Cena. Not the greatest talent on the roster, but he brings in big money. His merchandise is one of the top sellers, and he puts people in seats.
for example: would you sell out $39.99 to see a main event of John Cena vs HBK or a main event of Finlay vs the Undertaker? The internet smarks would likely lean towards the Finlay match but the regular joe who doesn't track everything on the internet, would be more likely to want a Cena vs HBK match.

I think they've backed themselves into a corner as regards the Batista/Taker match. I can't see them putting the belt on Taker, but I don't think he should lose his streak either. The guy's probably got 2-3 Manias (including this one) left in him. I think it would be a great thing if he was allowed to retire, streak intact. A record that is highly unlikely to be broken, which given the length and level of service, is the least Vince could do for the Phenom. But saying that, does Taker really need the belt? He hasn't held it since the title that many times over the course of his career, yet he still remains one of the biggest names. Batista though is a different kettle of fish altogether. He needs the belt to stay over because besides his look, everything else lets him down. If, Batista is to lose, the only way all concerned would be pleased is by DQ. And I think the only way for it to fully be accepted is if Batista went completely nuts and did the full heel turn. So far, they ain't done much with it. Taker would then does his quarterly disappearance and a full blown heel Batista would run riot on Smackdown. Then, maybe put someone who could get a good match out of him, say Benoit (who is stagnating with the US Title) Have Benoit beat him for the belt, then he can drop it to Kennedy a month or two down the line. Who would go face against the rampaging Batista.
As regards the MITB, I think they're going for a screwy finish. They've been building up Edge and Orton too much for them not to be one of if not both the winners. How? Well, they both grab the case and fall with it at the same time, leading to a tie and a possible match up at Backlash. Or they both get a contract. If not, then one will cost the other the contract somehow, leading Kennedy to get the win. Personally, I'd love to see Matt Hardy win it. The guy has more than paid for daring to go public about Lita and Edge. He's been no 1 job man for the last couple of years, and no matter what, everyone's still behind him. He's paid his dues, time to give him his chance and see where he runs with it.

RAGE - First off, I don't know why the WWE would allow a man to win the coveted Royal Rumble, and then not put the title on him. In 2000, The Rock won the event, but came up short at Mania (The Scorpion King obligations caused him to miss a lot of ring time and a champ has to be full time), but eventually went on to win and hold the WWF Title later on that year. Since then, every performer who has won the Rumble, including Hunter, Brock Lesnar, Benoit, Mysterio, and Batista have solidified their status by walking away with the Big One on the Big Stage. And the fact that WWE has three World Titles in it's possession, allowing for some experiementation, gives reason to believe they will stick to this formula this time around. Also, the fact that is was The Undertaker who closed out Mania with a WWE Title victory over Psycho Sid exactly ten years ago has got to be significant in some way. And he's never held the "World" title, and like you said, Vince may be looking to reward the man for the long services and tenure. This leads me to...
Keith Williams - I see what your saying when it comes to thinking like Vince and contemplating investments that will ultimately benefit the company. McMahon going on record to say to say that he's looking to protect John Cena and Bobby Lashley above all else, proves your thesis true. However, I'm still not buying your reason as to why Vinnie Mac will not invest in a man who still has it in the ring, but is in his forties. The Undertaker v. Batista main event is the biggest cause of the blockage because both the champ and the challenger are well over forty. And while I am noticing a rapid decrease in Batista's size and technique, the Dead Man seems to be in the best shape of his life. On top of his game. And McMahon is investing in 40-something: Taker just won the Rumble, which tells me McMahon is looking to the Dead Man to carry the brand for the better part of the year. Finlay could do the same if given the right manager and protection. The King's Court gimmick with Booker and Regal was gold until they prematurely imploeded it.
NIN Horror - That's gold, my man.

E2 - Liked your argument. But it has happened before, albeit not for awhile, where a Royal Rumble winner hasn't won the title shot at Mania. Four times to my knowledge. HBK in 95. 97' Rumble where Austin eliminated Bret after he had been eliminated. Vince in '99 and the Rock/Big Show in 2000. Yes, it hasn't happened in awhile. Doesn't mean that it's not going to. I hope it doesn't. I want Taker to win it at Mania. The guy more than deserves it.

Ok, Taker is the exception to that rule. But also Taker is a guaranteed money maker for Vince. If Taker is on the card, people are naturally going to go see him. I don't know where he ranks when it comes to merchandising, but he has to be Top 5.
I admit, Taker looks to be in the best shape of his wrestling career. Maybe Vince told him to get in shape and perhaps he would get another world title run? Either way Taker looks revitalized. I can honestly see another title run for the dead man. Especially after having to carry Mark Henry at last years Wrestlemania.
As for Finlay. Who would you suggest would make the ideal manager for him?

Apparently, Vince is going to try and push The Great Khali, yet again. This guy is huge on TV, so I can only imagine how massive he is in real life. I see Kane getting squashed even worse than Taker did last year at Judgment Day. And if Taker leaves Mania 23 with the belt, I could see Khali coming for some unfinished business, especially since Big Show replaced him in the Punjabi Prison Match last summer.
What are your opinions on where the WWE champion goes from here after Mania, albeit Shawn or John? It would be nice if KBK won it to freshen things up, but Cena is raking in so much cash, it's hard to imagine the title off of him within the next two years (unless he gets hit by a schoolbus, or something).

I'd really like to see HBK win it and face Edge for an extended feud. They haven't ever really had any long singles feuds.

They had a feud that lasted about one month back in the beginning of '05 when Shawn cost Edge in the Elimination Chamber and then Edge got some payback later that month at the Rumble. Their Rumble match was rushed, so yeah, another go would be worthwhile. My question is, if HBK does win, can he work a full time schedule for a considerable amount of time?

I agree. The shows have been great IMO but the card just isn't doing anything for me.
EDIT: I think a major problem is the fact that you have 8 of the best workers and characters stuck in the ladder match, which is being given hardly any build at all.
Take out Edge & Orton and put them against each other and you have a great match.
Take out the Hardyz and put them against WGTT, London & Kendrick and MNM in a tables match and you have another great match.
In their place, Sabu & RVD could have gone into the ladder match and it could have stayed as a 6 man match.
I'm sure the could have put two other ECW originals into the ECW match.
