when i visit a messageboard and log in, there is normally a litle icon beside the thread titles which says "New".
now, at cartain sites (TWH) if i click on the 'new' image, i get taken directly to the first post made since i last checked. but here, i only get taken to the beginning of the thread?
this means i have to search through pages of stuff to find where i last posted or read a post.
is there any way of fixing this?

No. It's a fault in the ProBoards Base Code. It's targeted to be addressed when they release their newest version of the board...which they've been working on / saying for at least the last two years. Sorry.

Meh, that's what you get for free. We could always go back to ezBoards, ya know...

Good news. ProBoards are planning on releasing the next version, V4, before the end of the year. While they have been working on it for some time, they have never given even a tentative deadline for themselves, so there shoudl be many upgrades anytime from now and until the end of December.

I hope you're right, but I'm not going to be holding my breath over it. Too many times in the past they've said "in just a couple / few more months." Uh huh, sure.
It's really a shame, too, because they've lost a lot of quality boards to other hosts because of this. Their support / development team/s really need to get on the ball if they want to remain competitive...not to mention how much money they're losing by not having the Ad-Free service up and running.

Yeah, ad-free has been down for a long time now.
I do think that they are near to completing V4. What has taken it this long, though, I doubt we'll ever know. I could've learned to code and done it myself within that time.
