You can't turn pm's off.
But, this has been mentioned many times. It's not a hard thing to do to enter there, and click the box that selects all of the pm's, and then hit delete. but, this is something that has been mentioned many times as a concern.
To be honest, I always did it cause Shinns did. By my logic, if the person is going to visit the board to see that they have a pm, then they're going to check the forum to see if the show is up as well.
So, I will talk it over with the staff. But, if it is determined that it helps the fed, you'll need to just mass delete the pm's.

I don't know where you get "many times" from. I only Remember Eezer bring this up and maybe 1 other person. So really if its not a problem for the other people of the board, then apparently you would be in the minority. Sorry you're bothered by a flashing sign, but hey, we've been doing it for a couple of years now, so I don't really see you're point.

Since I'm aware theirs no feature that turns off PM's, I can probably come up with a simple solution.
Don't come back.
EDIT: Really, don't.

Then again, if nobody needs a notification pm sent to them (and I wouldnt think they would, they should check the forum anyways), then there's no reason for us to send one out.
Yes, Eezer and the other person (whoever it was, some noob) were the only people to state it PUBLICALLY. There have been many times when pm's have been received with a statement like "Hey, I dont need a pm sent to remind me of shows, but thanks anyways"
