As always I have read every single word of each and every promo, and Im looking forward to seeing how the show pans out.
A message for e2
I dunno if you ever read some of my early work, or even some of the extra stuff i have done here, but the best bit of advice i can give is this - keep working. You have a solid character with so much room for development, so promo every show. If you arent in a match drop something in the extra promo thread.
Thats where you hone your own skills bro. I like your early work, and as people have said, if you were to lose to Gormy, it aint a bad start. Many here have lost their first few and went on to stellar performances. I know Micko wont mind me saying this, but when he started he had a bad run of early losses, but he stuck at it, and now hes turned that around through hard work on his character.
Keep working my friend and ill be reading you promoing in a main event match in no time
To all the others
Each and Every promo is shit hot, you have done the writing skills of both Stare and Shinns proud, as well as thier back up writing team. Now you have handed them the ball to write a top notch show
So Get the fuck on with it will you!!!!!!!!!
IC
McKenna stands outside his Limousine, he looks into the camera and begins to applaud
Well well well. Looks like The 3 Stooges have finally come up with a plan that works. I'm impressed. Both impressed and amazed. 3 minds coming up with 1 idea. Outstanding.
I see you couldnt catch me in the arena last time I was around, dumb shits. Anyway, onto San Francisco for me, and another defence of the REAL WORLD HEAVYWEIGHT TITLE. I've got Edge tonight yawns easy money.
Thanks for ordering me the PPV SHINNS. I'll send you the $40 in the mail, god knows after the buy rates projected for it, you'll need every cent back you can get.
Remind me next time I'm in Northern New Hampshire to come and say hello. If I remeber rightly you are the last shack on the right arent you??
Last chance SHINNS. Leave that dive and come earn some real money here. I know you and Trip are buddies, and I know he can get you in like that clicks fingers. You wanna be ROCKY's bitch all your life? You wanna see STARE walk round with a belt that you almost died to retain when you faced me? I'm telling you SHINNS, come to WWE and we can rule it all.
You remember that night, when we shook hands after one of the greatest matches, in any federation, of all time? Well, imagine that, with the cars, the jets, the money and the exposure you get being in the Main Event at WrestleMania 21!
SHINNS, you got my number, hell you and my voicemail are best of friends! I'll leave my phone on. MIZZ, the WWE wants you. I think you hear it knocking, and you know its coming in.
See you soon MIZZ, I'll bring a contract to your front door. In fact,
The camera backs away, and McKenna is stood outside a house, in a suburban street. He motions the camera to the mailbox on the lawn, the name of the mailbox is somewhat faded, but you can make out the name
THEBERGE
In McKenna's hand is a large brown envelope
Here it is my brother, I'm stood on your lawn, with the keys to the kingdom, come and collect, sign on Page 7, hell I've even covered it so a courier will pick it up from you when youre done.
Dont make me wait any longer MATT, dont make me ask again. I've got you a seat at the top table, dont let it go to waste.
I'll await your call MIZZ, see you on RAW
McKenna puts the envelope into the mailbox, and heads for the limo. As he enters and drives away, the door to the Theberge house opens, a long haired shadow looking at the mailbox

Keep working my friend and ill be reading you promoing in a main event match in no time I'll take this advice to heart my friend. Donna writes a good promo and is respected a lot around here, and having her as my first opponent is truly an honor. I am determined to make it at P2PW and I welcome more imput from someone as experienced as yourself. I am will keep improving my promo skills and cut promos even when I am not involved in a match, for there is always room for improvement. I gave a few others permission to use my character in their promos and I extend that invitation to you. I would like to know how other players view the One Man Killing Machine, and having them use the character in a written promo is a good start. Again, thanks for the good advice, it means a lot especially coming from you. If you have any other advice to share or there is something you see in me that I don't see that could improve my character, feel free to PM me or discuss it openly in the appropriate forum. Thanks playa.

^you're so right. 1. it truly is an honour to face Gormy in your first match. 2. its soooooo cool when Da Man responds to your promo.
About writing promos every show, with or without a match is a really good thing to do. Me and the blood Pack were doing that and now me and Veg are tag champs. So its definitely worth it.
I love your character, and especially now since you "sacked" your manager and you're on your own. I used you in my promo, as you said i could on friday or something.
I really wanna win my tag title match. I know winning it the way i did, wasnt really great, so if i win it this time, fairly then i'll be sooooo happy. Not sureif i'm gonna win tho, coz Red ninja and Spaz are awesome.

my advice to e2 is along the same line as Da Mans keep doing what you are doing, skills devolp te more you write, i used to suck and my record shows that I lost my first 4 or 5 matches, since then i have had 2 world title shots ( lost both ) and won the IN title.
Keep at it playa and sooner rather than later you too will be veiwed as a "vet" helping the newer folk around here
Take care

pretty much what everyone has said before but i will say this....just enjoy yourself, that's what its all about. if you start getting worked up about it, you ain't enjoying it and the ideas won't flow anywhere near as well as they should.
your character is a more than welcome addition to the ranks. the promo quality is great. once you've got your gimmick going full steam, the promos will just get better and better.
i first started here, round this time last year. my first match was at the first wrestle fever. i did alright promo wise-in fact it was my promo that got me the draw-i got my ass kicked on the votes because i was a newbie. after that i looked, learned and adapted my character to become a high mid carder within a couple of months. my advice to you is check out some of the old promos of the mainstays of the group i.e. rocky, shinns, da man, gormy etc. it may help you develop a certain style.
try bouncing any ideas, no matter how far fetched they might seem, off of other people. nothing beats a bit of feedback/constructive criticism.
you've got the tools, dude. i know you'll do great.
and another thing....cactus never pinned me for the i/n title....mind you i never pinned steve, i just pinned rocky instead. which means i rule even more ;D

Another add-on to this endless list is that E2 was given this great opportunity,
Shinns or me one, or both perhaps, decided to have Gormy taken out due to her real-life pregnancy, and that left the question of "Who took Gormy out?".
E2 participated heavily on the boards which is why he was thrown straight into a spotlight as bright as this, which is a lesson some people should take to heart if you want to get to places faster than normal.

I have an Idea.. mainly for the new guys.. Either put them up against other new guys or make their debut a rage rules Match, that way, they don't HAVE to lose their first match. Because thats ultimately what happens if they face somebody who's been around here awhile.
They may promo well, but then they face somebody else who promos well, then the votes almost take care of the winner. And the votes usually sway in favor of the person who's been here.

with everyone going heel on my arse makes my character question his switch to the face side. it helps being an insane character cos i can write my 34 future story thoughts in promos and switch at the drop of a hat. incase people havn't noticed since forever.
also chad, nation shouldn't say he beat me in your promo, cos he didn't...
...and wont.
<------ Next Rage champion, you heard it here first.
also, thanks for touching my inner thigh aladdin. my promo was real in character. you boys arn't as bad as i made out.

addryd vs spaz vs hollywood SS vs nation rage rules
that would equal big buy rates
can i also add that reapers idea of pitting n00bs against n00bs in rage rules matches to help them get used to the efed is quite brilliant, although what do you do when there is only 1 n00b?

|
Post by soulreaper on Mar 9, 2005 23:58:04 GMT 1
I didn't say that, what I said was Make peoples debut matches rage rules, UNLESS they are facing another "n00b" (as you so delicately put it). That way the vote tally won't automatically (in about 99% of the time) go to the vet.

yes you are the only two time rage champion, which means you've lost it twice. i've won it once. ain't lost it yet baby! and my total reign is fast approaching your total two time reign.......after i beat spaz and addryd, i think that would make me the greatest rage champion ever. which goes nicely with my greatest international champ ever. oh well its a hard life.
