^Agreed.
I'm partial to Chris Benoit vs. Kevin Sulllivan, the catalyst of the Horsemen/Dungeon of Doom Feud in pre-NWO WCW.

Bret Hart When you get a match with these two guys, you know it's going to be a mat-classic. And they proved that theory right on a few occasions.
Kurt Angle I really do love their match at SummerSlam '01. In fact, I even liked the ending. This is one of my favourite matches of all time.

Many of you will dissagree with this but my favorite Stone Cold match was in the Summer of 1999 when he was against The Undertaker for the World Federation Title. That match alone changed the WWF so much, and it did brought it into a new era.
When it comes to Stone Cold matches, you really shouldn't go for skill anyway, because after all, it's Stone Cold (no offense to him).

Stone Cold is not the greatest wrestler. He's not bad, he's average at best. But, Stone Cold could pull a 5-star match out of his ass because he was among the elite at stringing a match together and telling a story. Technically, that does make him a great wrestler in "today's" wrestling.
Anyways, I loved the Kurt Angle/Austin match at SS01, as I've already stated.
Stone Cold also had some good matches back in the day with Savio Vega.

Well, Stone Cold of 2001 IMO was a great wrestler. Not upto par with the Jerichos, Benoits and Angles of the world, but he was very good in the ring. He brought back a whole number of moves which he used as the ringmaster and before. Combine that with his story-telling talent, and it makes for a great wrestler. So, he definitely had the talent to be a great wrestler.

Stone Cold always was a great wrestler, even in his WCW days, that's why so many of his matches have been mentioned in this thread.
That doesn't happen by accident. His in-ring ability complimented his gimmick really well. So he didn't have the best moveset, that doesn't make him a bad wrestler, what makes him great is that his character translated well in the ring, and he made so many garbage wrestlers look good. It's not WHAT you do, it's HOW you do it.

Stone Cold always was a great wrestler, even in his WCW days, that's why so many of his matches have been mentioned in this thread...........His in-ring ability complimented his gimmick really well. So he didn't have the best moveset, Actually, prior to Owen piledriving the man on his neck, his moveset was a bit more expanded in the ring. That's precisely why I choose the "Stone Cold" Steve Austin/Savio Vega match from Wrestlemania 12; back when Austin was known as "The Ringmaster". Now although the crowd was dead and Austin was still "green" in the fans eyes as far WWE talent goes, this was a well choreographed match. I didn't necessarily agree with the gimmicks but given the talent involved, it was a good watch. Vega and Austin seemed to have the type of chemistry Owen and Bret had, and as a result, a well versed match up.
