A real shame- He had proven the doctors expectations wrong, and was a real nice guy.

Man, I remember the first time I saw this guy. During the Ultimate Warrior/Dino Bravo (RIP) feud from back in the day. The push up challenge thing, where he decimated the Warrior for Bravo. I didn't see that coming, cuz he just looked like your average big fat guy. But from what I can recall from his wrestling after that was that he showed small signs of agility and never REALLY came off as bad.
Damn shame to hear this news.

No, that was only his career. The man lived on though.

Big Boss Man died relatively young too.
Seems as if the life expectancy of many pro wrestlers has decreased over the years.
Guys like Flair, Hogan, Finlay and the rest of the oldheads should be counting their blessings.
RIP

Well at least he didn't have one of those "mysterious"deaths (which 90% of the time is drug abuse) that claim so many other wrestlers lives. RIP Earthquake

I was suspecting that he would pass away soon. Before he died, he mentioned on the wrestlecrap forums that he had cancer, but at the same time he was openly refusing any medical attention. I remember him when I was really young, and how he would just decimate Hulk Hogan. In 1999, the fact that Earthquake returned as "Gulga" kind of reminds me that the WWE takes little care in certain names.
