Surprised that nobody has started this thread already. Here you can talk about what you think about the newest inductions into the Hall of Fame.
I guess I am ok with Dusty Rhodes being the #1 pick for the Hall this year. He has had a storied career. 3 times he was NWA World Champion. Had memorable feuds with Flair, The Road Warriors, Ted Dibiase and numerous others. He was the common man and could capture a audience like only he can.
But I am thrilled to see that "Mr Perfect" Curt Henning is going into the hall this year. Growing up he was one of my all time favorites. I was fortunate enough to meet him at a autograph signing prior to StarrCade one year. Be it those vintages that he had where he did everything just right, walking into the ring and throwing the towel to Heenan, or swatting the gum as he spit it out, it all was cool. I especially loved how he would announce to the whole crowd prior to hitting his finisher "Now you are going to see a Perfect-plex" and hit it for the 3 count. He besides Owen, I feel was deserving of a world title run. Its a shame that his life was cut short. At least he is getting the honor that he deserves by being in the Hall of Fame.

Yeah, Henning was one of my fav's growing up. What about the Macho Man? He def needs to be inducted. Maybe even Bam Bam Bigelow.

Well I don't know if Savage ever will be inducted. I mean I have heard stories about him and a very young Stephanie McMahon. I am sure that neither Vince nor Stephanie would want to be in the same room with him.

Stephanie whored the whole locker room before marrying Hunter; I don't see what the big deal is. And where is Mabel's induction?? A big, fat nigger like that needs to be recognized.

Rumour says that Macho Man was caught with young Steph's head bobbing up and down around his groin area. As an inductee of the HOF, Macho Man should be a shoe in. But Vince will not allow his name to mentioned in his presence. So, as it looks, WWE will never have anything to do with Savage. That includes HOF, dvd, Legends Figure, Legends character on Smackdown game etc etc
Damn shame, but then if I caught my 14 year old daughter going down on a 40+ year old guy, I wouldn't be best pleased.
But why not Dibiase? Pleased about Perfect though.

I don't know if they are going to only have one deceased wrestler inducted a year or not. If they were going to have another one, it should be Owen Hart. He deserves to be in there along with Perfect.Him or perhaps the Road Warriors could be inducted. The British Bulldogs as well. For managers how about Slick or Mr. Fuji?

That's the only problem with some of these inductions: the WWE will induct someone after they are dead instead of when they initially retired. To honor Henning, David Smith and Bam Bam now is like a slap in the face.
As for managers, Oliver Humperdink is long overdue.

All the stories I've heard have Vince offering Young Stephanie to Maco Man as an incentive to signing or resigning a deal with the company.

To honor Henning, David Smith and Bam Bam now is like a slap in the face. The problem with inducting them when they initially retire is that the retirement might not be permanent. You don't have to look farther then Terry Funk. He was suppose to retire sometime in the mid 90's and he is still wrestling today. The WWE Hall of Fame should act just like any hall of fame. Wait 5 years after a player has retired before putting him on the ballot. Only in special occasions should a player be put on the ballot before the 5 years is up. Reggie White comes to mind when talking about that. It wouldn't be a slap in the face to Davey Boy or Bam Bam to get inducted now instead of when they were alive. Cause at the time of their death they were still semi or fully active in wrestling.
