Maybe the return of Lesnar. That would be pretty sweet in my opinion. Doubt it will happen but hey ya never know. I bet Doink or Sgt Slaughter is in it. They always put some oldies in. If they do put some oldies in I'm routing for Koko B. Ware.

I wouldn't be surprised if the "Anvil" showed up in it. Especially considering that his daughter just signed a development deal with the WWE. Or perhaps Harry Smith will finally make his much awaited debut on the main roster. Could see C.M getting a early number and lasting a while in the rumble. Wouldn't it be something if he won the rumble and went on to face either Batista or Cena? I know wishful thinking

Wouldn't it be something if WWE ended this "split brand" nonsense and had Batista and John Cena fight for unification at Wrestlemania 23 ?

You know Miles, sometimes I wonder who does more cocaine, me or you. ;D I can often picture you sitting at your desk, drinking a cup of coffee, and sweating incredulous amounts of blow through your pores as you speedily clickity-click and try to minimize your P2P screen as your boss gets closer and closer. ;D

I heard on Rajah.com that they may have HBK win this thing since it's going to be taking place in San Antonio.
I wouldn't mind that. After Edge and CM Punk (although that would never happen), HBK would be my next choice. It's a fresh match up, so why not go for it.

I don't see the logic of taking such a risk. With Hunter's recent injury coupled with the fact that the Royal Rumble winner usually has his work cut out for him throughout the entire year, would the WWE give the win to someone who could blow a quad or a knee with one blotched moved? This is why I am not buying the Undertaker or any seasoned vet winning it this year. Another argument is that peeps like HBK, Taker, etc, are already over and a win does nothing for either them or the future of the company. If I had to put money on it, I would go with Orton or CM Punk (if they decide to give the W to a babyface) The reason punk would work is that it looks as if they are going to pull the trigger on a Lashley/Test/RVD triple threat match at the Rumble instead of Mania 23. If they end this feud here, CM Punk would be the logical runner up at the ECW Title. Question is, would WWE waste an entire Royal Rumble on the ECW title?

No they would not.
I like the HBK idea, with HHH out HBK is basically flying solo again and I'm sure a lot of people would want to see HBK main event Mania again.

Okay, what if HBK did win the Rumble and the set up Cena v. HBK for the RAW main event and they built it up nicely, with a lot of hype and everything. And then March rolls around and then HBK blows his back out after landing wrong, needs surgery, and will be out for 6 to 8 months. Then what? I remember a similar situation in '97 when HBK pulled some last minute antics and didn't want to job the belt to Bret Hart at Mania 13. Then they had to take the belt off him during a Fatal Four Way, quicky job the belt to Sid the next night, and then hastily set up an Undertaker v. Sid Justice main event which turned out to be, well, how do they say in Fresno? Shit.

Well, HBK has been pretty healthy since returning with the exception of one knee injury. His knee isn't in great shape right now but I'm sure they would protect him in the lead to mania. The chance of him getting injured is only slightly larger than anyone else.
The only problem I have with HBK winning the rumble is that it just seems that they're simply feeding him to Cena. There wouldn't be much real anticipation as to who would win, which sucks as Cena isn't worth all this build.
I still want Edge to win it and go to SD!

I have been pro-HBK vs. Cena for a while now. I havent watched wrestling in nearly two months, and I woudl tune in for that feud.
With HBK's shoot-from-the-hip promos, especially when he is a heel (Hogan/HBK anyone?), it would be a very entertaining feud. HBK would more than likely rip into Cena for not being "that good of a wrestler", and the heel HBK was always welcomed by this wrestling fan.
The match would be great, and would overshadow HHH vs. Cena IMO, cause HBK is more over with "wrestling" fans than HHH was last year, and those are the fans that hate Cena. Maybe not the best technical match, but HHH/Cena wasn't terrible, and HBK can carry people better than HHH.
I'm all for HBK winning the Rumble and then turning heel.

With HHH Injury i expect another cena vs Umaga or Edge, while i would love to see CM Punk go over I cannot see Vince pushing him.

They could have HBK win the rumble, turns heel, face Cena at Mania and wins by the interference of HHH with his crutches.
If they wanted to reunite DX so bad and since HHH is injured, why not? A Heel DX could be great.
It's a lot more, way better than Donald VS Vince.
CM Punk won't win this year.
ECW is slowly dying...
Heyman will be back... He always comes back.

I don't know how they will do it, but all hints point towards Orton and Edge both winning the event and maybe we get a Cena v. Edge v. Orton for the WWE Title. Cena is the king of the triple threat match and Edge will bump like a madmad to cover both Orton and Cena's in-ring limitations.

Until Edge gets a good run with the WWE or World Title and Cena doesn't end his reign, I will continue to hate John Cena. Dude isn't worth what WWE gives him. I have no doubt that the guy is probably a really cool guy and I'd probably really like him in person, but I still hate the fact that he's been champ for all this time. He tried his hardest all the time, but his best isn't good enough 85% of the time. That's not the type of person you want as champ. Anyway, I really can't believe that WWE don't have any real stand out contenders to win this thing who are actually up and comers. I reckon if they had actually pushed Carlito this year, he would have won this thing and faced either a heel HHH (if the circumstances had changed) or HBK.

The more I think about it, the more I think Jeff Hardy may actually pull this thing off. He sells crazy merchadise, was in the title picture four years ago with the Undertaker, and Cena v. Hardy would $$$ bling bling in terms of sales.
And if you believe that, you'll believe anything. Edge is taking it by eliminating Michaels last. WWE doesn't trust Orton, RVD, or Carlito because of past incidents. Edge has been consistent for years and has proven that he can be the main guy when they want him to.
EDIT: And if his neck wasn't fucked, I would pick Steve Austin. With all the hype surrounding his movie, and with news that he's returning to RAW full time, Cena v. Austin would rake loads of cash.

Cena vs. Austin would be awesome.
I dont see Edge winning, but at the same time, nobody else is over enough except for Michaels.

Yup. Cena Vs. Austin would be the shit. I really think that they should go with Hogan Vs. Cena though. I really think it would be huge.
But yeah, Edge isn't winning this as much as I want him too. WWE seemingly don't have enough faith in him.
