It is the most amazing feeling in the world and when I've had my baby, I will feel quite lonely to be honest without it.
It has started really kicking first thing in a morning so when I am lying close to Anthony, he kicks hard and Anthony feels it on his tum too!

Feeling the baby kick is awesome, but I have to say for the woman, it means a lot more. I mean you guys can feel it kick too, but the feeling is different when its in your tummy.
It makes your heart fill with joy every time. GOsh, I miss being pregnant, but then I tell myself, they grow into bigger kids who get into everything.

Oki doki kids.
I have been to see the midwife today. I have 10 weeks to go, so I am 30 weeks. I am convinced this baby is going to be a little bigger than the last 3 and today I am absolutely sure of it. The midwife measured my tum...(it should be the same in cm's as it is in weeks..ie 30 weeks pregnant = 30 cms)...and my tum measured 34 cms! I look like a house side now. I am very proud of my baby baking skills and feel very very proud of my enormous tum now. The baby kicks all the time now. It is head down ready for the big day. I have got a feeling it is going to be early..dont ask me why, but I just do.
The baby is growing at a great rate of knots now, laying down fat. His eyes have opened for the first time now and can begin to practise focusing, albeit primitively. Loud noises can make him jump, but not mine. We went to see Raw on Monday and he didn't wake up for the pyro's at all! I was amazed he/she slept through it all.
I can now tell which bits are kicking me and can feel his/her bum push out just under my ribs. It has a bony arse!!!
I am finishing work on Friday, so will be able to give a more regular update on the little Yorkshire Pudding.
Later kids

Today I am 31 weeks and 1 day pregnant. That means I have only 8 weeks and 6 days to go. I have finished work now, so I am trying to get everything in order at home ready for the big day. My back and my pelvis are killing me now. I think the baby has moved down a little in the last week or so, because the pain is getting worse. I have an appointment on 1st December and I can choose to be induced if I find it too painful.
The baby however, is having a whale of a time!! It doesn't kick in the traditional sense now, it squirms...a lot! I can feel a shoulder, or a bum roll across my tum. It has also got big enough for it's feet to get caught under my ribs...not nice at all. That tends to happen when I am concentrating on something, like driving. My stretch marks are getting bigger and look like a road map I'm sure...thats if I could see them! On a positive note though, I still have my belly ring in!!! I am amazed it has lasted so long. I think I will get away with leaving it in for the rest of the pregnancy.
I am going to my Dad's pub tonight. Because he lives at the other end of the country, this will be the last time I see him before the baby is born. He wont be able to come to see me because xmas is the busiest time of the year and also because the pub is a new one, he is doing all the work himself! It's seems so strange to think the next time I see him will be with the baby.

Dunno bout that..although it does 'feel' like a girl.
I am 32 weeks and 5 days now. This is beginning to drag so much. The baby is about 4 1/2lbs now. It wakes and sleeps in a pattern. Yes you've guessed it kids, it wakes up when I go to bed and sleeps when I am awake! I couldn't sleep this morning and I have been awake since 4.30 am. The baby was going beserk!!! I have never felt it kick so much. Now I am wondering if it does that every morning at 4.30. I hope not. It has decided that the best foot rest it can find is my left ribs and keeps at least one of it's feet up there at all times. When I am comfy in bed it then begins to kick the holy shit out of aforementioned ribs. I am sore!
Apparently babies dream too at this stage, although lord knows what they are dreaming. Mine is probably having nightmares about Saturday night. We went to UKG's brothers house for a halloween party. Nothing too scary for the ickle one so far. His brother and girlfriend are dance/RnB mad, so had dance music on all night. The baby hated it! It kicked and kicked all night and didn't stop till I got in the car and put some Marilyn Manson on to calm it down! (Yes, my baby goes to sleep to the lulling chords of Marilyn Manson)
I feel so sorry for the little tike. It must have been so loud for him/her. I have also found that the baby hates having a bath. It goes mad when I get in the water. I think it must be to do with the tempreture, because when I go swimming, it is ok. Its just getting into a hot bath it hates. Definately not my son/daughter. That is one of my favourite pastimes, having a long hot bubble bath. Makes me feel less heavy!

Today I am 33 weeks and 4 days pregnant..6 1/2 weeks to go.
On Wednesday of last week I fell down the stairs. Yep, from top to bottom!
I bounced on every step on the way down. Now my tail bone hurts mightily. That combined with the pelvic problems I already have being made worse with the fall, I am not in the best of shape. It has been 5 days since I have sat down, it is wearing me down now.
I had to go to the hospital to check everything was ok. Everything was. I had to have a trace on. It is 2 monitor things on the bump and you can hear the heartbeat. I also had to press a button everytime I felt a movement. As usual, it didn't perform. It did enough to get 'passed' by the midwife, but as soon as the monitor was off, it went beserk!
On bonfire night we went to Sefton park to watch the kids firework display. I dont understand my bump at all. All the way through it jumped and bounced and rolled around as soon as there was the slightest bang. However, at Raw, it was asleep the whole time, even during the pyros!!!!!!!
Anyway, I have the midwife again on Wednesday. I am hoping to go through my birth plan with her. I am still unsure about going to hospital at all. I will report in then.

Glad to know that with the exception of a sore tail bone that mommy and baby are both ok. I've been going through a "really wanting a baby" stage. But hubby doesn't want another.

Usually, a fall, regardless of what you see on tv, doesn't cause a loss of baby. Although it is good to get checked out just to make sure.
You got to remember the baby is in a big bag of water and is well cushioned.

It did happen to a friend of mine. She tripped on a paving stone at 7 months and it killed her baby. It was awful for her as she had to go back to the hospital the day afterwards to be induced. How she ever got over that is beyond me.
On a lighter note though, I have been to the midwife today. I am 34 weeks and 6 days pregnant. The baby is fine. It wriggled for the midwife and prompty kicked her when she put her ultrasound thing on to listen to it's heart! I can almost sit down now, but my back is very sore. I have an appointment in 2 weeks time at the hospital so I am hoping they will give me a date to induce me.
The good news is though, I know why my back is hurting more than usual. It is because the baby has moved down a bit and is now 'engaged'! That means that it's head has moved into my pelvis, (hence the back pain) and only 4/5 can be felt now. It is measured in 1/5 with 1/5 being as far down as it will go.
The baby now weighs about 5lbs. It's growth is beginning to slow down now. However, it's lungs are maturing still, ready for the big day. Everything else is about baked! Just needs to put on weight, mature lungs and it will lose all the hair it is covered with before birth too.

I've got a questionaire, slightly, for you on bringing up children grompy...
How old should they be before posting?
Could you name them Greg?
and if they're a boy, Felix?
Let them go to sleep listening to eminem albums?
Tell us when they say, Dad, first?
Have you picked their school yet?
And lastly, can I be known as 'uncy george'?

Firstly I would like to answer Spaz's questionaire How old should they be before posting? About 2 or 3..my daughters have already posted on my behalf..not that you would ever notice! Could you name them Greg? No and if they're a boy, Felix? Again, No..for the simple reason it is a name of cat food over here Let them go to sleep listening to eminem albums? UKG may do, but it will be more like Nirvana albums if I have my own way Tell us when they say, Dad, first? Of course I will!! Have you picked their school yet? Not yet, because we are probably going to move back to my home town of Sheffield. When we get there, then we will choose somewhere nice. And lastly, can I be known as 'uncy george'? Of course you can tiger!! Today I am 36 weeks pregnant! As you can see, I have now decided to do my countdown in days rather than weeks, so today is 28 days to go. I'm sure the baby has moved down further as now I can feel its head and especially it's hands and fingers poke my bladder at the most embarrasing moments! Namely when I am laughing or if I'm in the middle of the supermarket. I then have to dash off to the loo at a great rate of knots before I pee myself!! It is moving loads at the moment. All day, every day. It never stops. I think because it has moved down a little further, it now has a bit more room and is taking advantage of it. I have packed my bag for the hospital. Well, I have tried, but there is not enough bag for the amount of stuff I want to take. I am going to get a new, bigger bag this week and pack again. It then hit the pair of us that it is real and that we will have a real life baby soon. The cot and moses basket have arrived. The cot is up and ready for action now. It seems so strange in our room. It's been a long time since I had a cot!! It is all made up and just needs the baby in it. I go to the hospital in 6 days. They will hopefully give a day to induce me. Hopefully that will be in the week afterwards. So I may only be pregnant for a couple of weeks now. I hope they give me a date as soon as possible, because my back really hurts. I shuffle round like Ozzie Osbourne now. I haven't been out of the house for ages and I need be able to turn over in bed without crying cos it hurts. I got on the scales....I have put on 2 1/2 stones. I'm not happy, but hey, when I had Nieve, I lost 2 stones when I had her! So maybe I will just be 1/2 stone over when I drop this one! (I can dream cant I?) I have drawn up my birth plan. Anthony has drawn up his too!!! I have posted it in Flame Grilled. You ought to give it a read, because it is funny. I have put it in my notes and will be handing it over to the midwife when I see her next!! I will give you the next installment next week after the hospital. Hopefully, I will give you a date for the newest member of P2P's arrival too!
