That was simply ... Amazing. Great Trailer.
I'm excited about Venom, sure - but I really look forward to when they advance into Peter Parker into his later battles with Carnage.
I know I'm looking into the future and I really don't want Spiderman to turn out like the Batman Movie Empire, just searching for some stupid idea to make some money -- but, if they ever but Carnage and Venom into the same picture I'd be more than happy..

I would love that too...but Carnage is obviously way too similar to Venom so I doubt they'll actually bring him into it. I would have thought Topher Grace would have made a better Carnage than Venom anyways...

good point as carnage was not a big guy ( real name cleatus kasady ) but to get both venom and carnage on the go would rule all

The original plan (as of just prior to the release of Spiderman 2) was to have Venom in Spiderman 3 and Carnage in Spiderman 4 which would see Venom and Spiderman joining forces. At the time, Vin Diesel was being touted as Venom and Ed Norton was being looked into as Carnage. I don't know if we'll ever see Carnage. But if Venom is successful, who says he won't get his own film like Wolverine and Magneto. And with Ed Norton signing up to play Dr Bruce Banner in the new Hulk film, I doubt they'll want him playing Carnage.

the only bad thing in that post rage is the fact that they are making another hulk movie

Indeed. But....Edward Norton is awesome so maybe he can save it.....i doubt it though.
But back on the carnage issue. If they were to add him, then it would be wise to have another villain in the movie too, so that there is something new. Carnage is too similar to Venom to make a new movie and have it feel fresh.
I've heard that they going with the Lizard for Spidey 4.

What about Mysterio? You telling me that nobody wants to see a guy walking around for 2 hrs with a fish bowl on his head? ;D
But seriously, I hope that Venom is in the picture for a grand total of 5 minutes in Spidey 3. Right at the end, so that it leave no doubt that there will be a 4th installment. They be stupid to have Green Goblin 2, Sandman and Venom all in one picture. The venom character can hold a whole picture himself.
Of course there are other ways to go with a Spidey 4 if they do have this be the Venom movie. They could introduce the Lizard, Kraven, Mysterio, or Shocker. They could also go into the storyline where Peter becomes the man-spider, and then that could lead to parts for other superheros to show up.
I wouldn't care as long as they keep the original people involved in the movie. That being Toby, Kristin, and Sami as the director. I heard that if Peter Jackson doesn't agree to do a remake of "The Hobbit" that the job would go to Sami, thus either stalling a Spidey 4 or another director would get the job.

keeping those 3 is a must, make someone else spidey ( say ben affleck, first name that came into my head ) it would not work, same as if they changed MJ, the director would also fail ( x-men 3 anyone? ? )

First Hulk film was great. Exactly like the earlier comics. Though everyone I know hated it because it was nothing like the tv series.
Tobey and Kirsten have said they will walk if Sam doesn't do the next installment. But the comforting thing is that Sony love what Raimi has done and are doing everything bar writing him a blank cheque to stay on board.
Dr Connors aka The Lizard gets a lot more screen time in this one so is always a possibility that they might go for that in the next installment (if there is one)
The Venom thing worries me to be honest. Raimi doesnt like the character. Never has. You get the feeling there was a bit of pressure putting him in. And considering the main villain of the piece, Sandman, hasn't been hyped all that much but a character who appears in no more than the last 20 minutes of the film is carrying the weight of expectation on it's cgi'd shoulders. Is Venom in the film just for the sake of it or is his appearance going to carry some worth? To be honest, it doesn't look good. Raimi and McGuire have said this film ties up everything, leaving no loose ends. Which begs the question. is Venom another Bane?
Either way, at worst I think this is going to be a good movie. It can't fuck up like XMen 3 was allowed to. Raimi won't let it.

The sad thing is I like X-Men 3 better than I liked the Hulk. The reason I didn't like the Hulk was that I saw it as a bad acting clusterfuck of a movie. The whole split screen thing got old afterwhile too, and overall, I think it could have been done better than it was. It just seemed so bland and boring. Aren't they gonna do another Hulk movie anyways? I swear I've heard that somewhere, with new people... oh well.
This movie, I've already committed myself to seeing anyways, and that was long before there were rumblings of a Venom appearance. Venom is what people have wanted to see since this whole thing started, and to just say "Here he is in the last 5 minutes, thanks for stopping by... oh and by the way, he won't be in the next movie because I don't like him," is pretty lame. As far as I can remember, Venom could have probably taken out all of the other villain characters, or at least he always looked like he could, so to not give him a whole movie to rampage through would be a travesty. It would be a hell of a story to get into.
If they did more X-Men movies, the Age of Apocolypse would be a direction I would shoot for. That was a fun story.

^I agree with everything this dude just said. The Hulk actor was bollocks, and whoever played his love interest, sucked ass too. In fact everyone in this movie did. No-one stood out. And yeah, they're doing another Hulk movie, "The Incredible Hulk" to be specific. I heard that they were going to totally redo it, but i've also heard that it'll start off with the Hulk dude running from someone, trying to rid himself of his "curse". Edward Norton is Bruce Banner. And, Rage, I know that Sam Raimi doesn't like Venom but he would do his best to make this film a great one. And Tobey maguire said that they do wrap up a lot of things, but there are some things that can be continued with. And who the fuck is Bane?

I totally understand why some people didn't like the original Hulk. Ang Lee's comic book style put a lot of people off. I totally bought into it. Many dismissed Eric Bana's acting, saying he was rigid. That's what the character required. Nick Nolte was great. Camp in a gruff sort of way, but great. The main problem with the Hulk is that he's not your typical Superhero. The story carries a lot of background and I think the first film did a great job of portraying this. They didn't want to cop out by going "Oh look. Scientist fucks up an experiment. Don't get him mad, he might hurt ya and rip his pants. What will he do? HULK SMASH!" Yeah, a lot of people would have loved that. But Lee wanted to explore where the anger that fuels the Hulk comes from. What makes Banner different, unique, unable to be duplicated and turns him into "Angry Man"? As a fan of the comic and character and knowing the vast difference between the comic's version and t.v. adaptation, I enjoyed it immensely. A lot of people still don't know how to take it and dismiss it as crap. And I would as well if I was a casual viewer. There were faults, I must admit. Hulk Poodles? Give me a break. But anyone who didn't get a little tingle with the "Puny Human.." line cannot call themselves a fan of comics. The new film is not a sequel or even a reboot. It's somewhere in between, but with Ang Lee getting the backstory out of the way, it's promised to up the action ante. The inclusion of the Abomination should give us a decent on screen scrap and the inclusion of Norton (who does repression to a T) can only be a good thing.
As for the Venom thing, I hope I'm wrong but I think Raimi's gonna give the character a bum deal.
Who the fuck is Bane? Bane is a villain from Batman. He's the character that broke Bruce Wayne's back. He's stronger (thanks to the Venom drug - venom again?!) and just as intelligent. He's a villain who Batman has never really got the better of. When it was announced that Bane was going to be a villain in Batman & Robin, fanboys rejoiced (not dissimilar to what's going on with Venom) but once the film came out and Bane was seen, rejoice was turned to anger. Gone was the intelligence and charisma and in it's place a Hulk rip off with dodgy face gear. To put it in wrestling terms, imagine you had been waiting ages to see Kurt Angle in action, finally you get to go see a match and when you got there you saw him do this serious godawful Umaga impression for the whole match. And people who have gone with you who have no idea who Kurt Angle is go to you "What's the fuss, Gus?" Might make you go "What the fuck?!" This is what worries me about Venom.
Damn, I take this shit too seriously.

If I remember correctly, wasn't Bane the big musclebound dude with a mask with the hose attached to it or some shit? If so, the reason he looked like crap in the movie was because thats how they portrayed him on the Cartoon version, which was also a gigantic failure. He was a big, dumb, musclebound lackey basically. So thats what they made the dude... am I right, this was the movie that was probably the worst Batman ever made?
As far as Venom goes, theres no way to fuck that up... and not be obvious it was a purposeful move. Venom was always a badass character, both in the comics and on TV. So if for some reason Venom winds up looking like crap, it will be because he was told to look like crap. Not because the people got the wrong story....
Now that that is out of the way, is there anybody opposed to having a super comic movie with a bunch of the popular comic characters face off with a bunch of popular comic villains?

Well, bar Spiderman (which will never happen) Marvel are buying back all their properties to release themselves. The first two films on the new Marvel Studio's list is Iron Man (which is looking fantastic by the way) and The Incredible Hulk. Hopefully when they get X-Men and Fantastic Four back, we can expect to see a big cross over movie.

I also heard they were going to make a Green Lantern Movie but that was a while back ... I also heard about a more DC oriented movies supposedly coming into action. But latley I've seen nothing, and at least nothing that interests me enough to look into.
Iron Man could have major potential. I'd imagine it would be doable with the armor and sorts, plus they already have the effects in every other action movie. As long as they lay back on the corny jokes, and keep it PG-13 or above it'll be fine..
I wasn't that big of a fan of Fantastic Four but with Silver Surfer, I'll see anything..

That would rule so much Junco, they did look at making a green lantern film, i rejocied when i heard it, like most fanboys but then it was released that the makers wanted Jack Black to star as Hal Jordan and everyone quickly lost interest. NiN, a clayface movie would be fun, unfortunatly I can only see it as a straight to DVD film

Jack Black? That's almost insulting .. I'm all for comedy, but sometimes it goes a little too far. Why ruin a perfectly good thing? At least what I heard wasn't false, but still thats widely disappointing.

I heard they were doing a Justice League movie somewhere down the line. Apparently Christian Bale's contract has him down for a team movie thing too.
