This is where you can discuss the weekly tv shows that ECW produces.

This board will soon be coded like the other boards. Be patient.
Until then, the first ECW show was tonight, what did everyone think.
Personally, I didnt enjoy it. It had too much of a WWE feel to be that different, and I saw nothing that was definitively ECW-esque.
I wish they had bept the ECW railing, and kept it close to the ring, so they could use the tables across is (that was always one of my favorite things).
It'l be interesting to see if Vince lets them cut loose. I honestly dont see it happening, cause he doesnt want lawsuits. Either way, its another night of wrestling.

I also felt let down. I hope soon enough that they can just be ECW and not interact with wwe at all, and have their own storylines, titles, and actual matches on their little tv show.

According to various news sites, Paul Heyman didn't even think the show was all that it could have been, which is probably why most people felt let down by it. I thought it could have been better, but it was better than most Smackdowns I've come across lately.

The matches are too short.

I thought that battle royal thing could have been better than just various weapons being used. Why not add a pin/submission rule to it. That would be interesting. Heres an idea, why don't they just make Paul Heyman in charge of it completely....
It worked for ECW back in the day. The WWE team probably half fucked up the shows script as well as Vince McMahon and his "vision" which all he sees is a bunch of these $$$

I think it'll all blow over before the end of summer, and ECW will forge its identity once again.
It's just the hoopla surrounding RVD as the champ being on that show, as soon as he establishes an all ECW feud on that show, then we probably won't see too much WWE stuffs going on anymore.

TNA does better than that in an hour.

Better WRESTLING, but there were storylines to progress apparently...so the ECW event was a flop in my opinion. Let's kick off ECW with furthering the normal WWE storylines... how exciting.
I'd rather they just started off fresh without all the crap.

I was so surprised when i watched this. After seeing ONS, it was so weird seeing them in the big arena. Having ECW and SD! done one after the other will pose as a huge problem. Sure, it's nice when crowds are split down the middle, but that can't be the case all the time. The crowd just didn't know what was going on during the beginning. ECW guys were getting booed and IMO Edge got a bigger pop then RVD. SD! and ECW are polar opposites. SD! is aimed more at kids and ECW at adults/teens. You could see loads of kids in the audience, and then there was that Kelly stripping right in front of them. The Entrance just looked like a mess, you could hardly see it.
The whole thing was such a mess.
TNA > ECW

It was just poor, they had to play the whole of the Taz/ Lawler match (as short as it is) to get through the time, because they had missed their cues or something. The whole presentation was poor. Shame, because i was looking forward to a Heyman written show, but he doesn't even get the final say for the scripts.

Apparently, ECW pulled a 2.7 rating in the US. They were expecting around 1.0, so that's pretty damn good. The highest rated show on Sci-Fi, i believe. It'll be interesting to see if they're able to sustain that ratings next week, after a shitty show.
And, i found it really lame that Sandman didn't come out to "Enter Sandman". That totally ruined his whole segment for me at ONS. Nevermind ECW tuesday show. The people in the audience just didn't care about him.

Seeing a... Zombie... was probably the funniest thing I've seen in a wrestling ring. And that means even funnier than Jeff Jarrett and two 40 year old's running around doing crotch drops and pulling their pants down.

After watching it last night, I felt sorta let down. But what I think it was, was that I went into watching it with high expectations. I remember watching ECW on TNN and was thinking it be something along those lines.
But I assume that slowly it will become better. Right now they have a limited roster. Wait till Heyman gets those OVW and indy wrestlers into the fold. Plus he should be getting Matt Hardy, Mr. Kennedy and CM Punk. I say give it a month or two and ECW will be the show to watch.

... and Orton is injured... again. This time its an arm injury, but he'll still compete at Vengeance. Someone put this guy in a body cast.

... and Orton is injured... again. This time its an arm injury, but he'll still compete at Vengeance. Someone put this guy in a body cast. WWE should just lift that anti-drug policy and let wrestlers juice again or else injuries will become a weekly thing in our sport. Get ready for short, month-long title runs once again.

It looks so painful...

He gets the guy in a cobra clutch, and then slams him down across his knee like a backbreaker. At that point he can either keep the hold locked in, or just pin the man.
