TNA didn't have IT before Vince Russo, he's just made it worse.

Damn, can't see why they are even bothering with WWECW. It's only purpose seems to be putting WWE has-beens, neverwillbes and a few talented people who can't get through the barrier in Raw and Smackdown, onto TV. Let it go. The thing died when Heyman was pushed. And even then, he was trying to keep it afloat with his hands tied.

The thing died when they went away from the extreme style of the old ECW and turned the Tuesday night show into a one hour Smackdown! It cannot be taken serious anymore; may as well make it a highlight show. Shame for Lashley though, as he has "the look" as well as so much potential. They basically threw that phony belt at him as consulation for shouldering a show that's swirling down the shitter.

Marcus Cor Von really reminds me of The Rock. His mannerisms, his charisma, the way he carries himself and the way he talks all make me think "the next Rock".
Now, I know ECW has been shit for a long while now, but i reckon over this next year, it'll improve quite a lot. They're making new stars and they getting rid of the useless ones who are just clogging things up. They just need to get rid of Holly and maybe get one big heel from one of the other shows for the short term. Right now Lashley doesn't have a REAL opponent. They're setting him up with Holly which is retarded, but he should plow through him with ease and move onto someone better for Mania (hopefully).

Heh. Punk stole the Go 2 Sleep. Nice. Good substitue for the Pepsi Plunge.
ECW is definitely getting better.

all i can say about this week is that the crowd fucking sucked. No reactions the whole night. When Pun kjoined the new breed there should have been some fan reaction, and maybe some garbage in the ring. Also, the "What?" chants against McMahon were just sad. The crowd affects the show, they play a big part in wrestling,.
(damn, havent posted in a while, right?)

With the whole Benoit hoo har, I think CM Punk is going to get a monster push. They're gonna build the show around him because of his drug free lifestyle and put him front centre in the public eye.

Possibly. It would make sense. But I have to say last Tuesday, Nitro vs. Cena was an ubelievably great match. Coming from a Punk standpoint, I just wanted it to end - but now I'm pretty confident in the new champ.
Push Punk all ya want, but keep an eye on Nitro.

Nitro has always had the talent. It's the company that he keeps that's rubbed people up the wrong way but the move to ECW will be the best thing for him.

No doubt. I'm still not sure it was the best idea to jump the gun so quickly and make him Champion on his first appearance, but ECW will definitely be something more to watch.

I hate nitro, they should have put the belt on an "orginal" and have some screw jobs like the sandman saying its a singapore cane match for the title and people backing out of facing that cane weilding bastard, then when some one did step up say nitro he would get twatted with the cane but pull of the win leading to some great ecw tv

That would be stupid. Why would you give the title to a washed up old wrestler just because he's an original? He can't even hit two moves without looking like he's going to have a heart attack.
ECW is the show to push new young stars, kinda like a stepping stone towards the big shows. So, giving Nitro the title was a good idea. It probably wasn't the best idea, but it's definitely better than having an original hold the belt. If Benoit was around, it would be different. He could have held a title he never had before and feud with the younger guys, teaching them more about the game. Both Dreamer and Sandman have very little to give to people like Nitro and Burke.
If i was booking, I would have had Elijah Burke be Benoit's replacement, because you would look at it as Benoit forfeits and so Burke gets his spot as those to went at it in a qualifying match beforehand. Punk wins the match and holds the title for a while, defending and retaining against all comers. Meanwhile, Nitro runs through the originals and all big faces not name Punk. Then, come the Royal Rumble or Survivor Series the two face off and Nitro cheats to win. Punk can't get a rematch until WM24 when he wins the title back.

If I was Punk, I would have been doubly pissed. First, at the Benoit no-show (obviously, we all know why he didnt) but then, to be told that they were gonna have him still put over the guy he was facing, and for that to be Johnny "Don't call me Monday" Nitro!!!!!
Yeah, I'd wonder what I was still doing wrong
